Never thought id see Brown in an england jersey again after this test series. Moreso as Jason Robinson was the first choice fb by the world cup and probably the FB lf the tournament. Brown really evolved his game to new heights in thr 2010s
Just looked at England's teamsheet - talk about a game of two halves: Backline, full of great talents from the 2003 cycle (Wilkinson, Robinson, Simpson-Daniel off the bench) and players who would go on to be bedrocks in the future (Flood, Brown, even Matthew Tait recovered from his awful debut into becoming a multiple-time champion with Tigers.) Forwards: ...who? Literally the only name of note is Nick Easter, who spent the remainder of his career being overlooked by England, and Mark Reagan, who was already 35 and was never first choice. Not a single other player in the starting pack earned more than 12 caps.

They had a long injury list and sent an under strength team to SA. Hence the whooping.
