I don’t know the brand he uses but orange tinted glasses aren’t ideal for gaming, the blue spectrum will be entirely missing. it won’t cast a yellowish-orange hue quite like iOS Night Shift does but will do something similar (Orange is better for winding down for sleep). You might find light orange tint okay…yellow is good but I’d go with amber tint, Gunnar makes a pair for gaming that block 65% of blue light at 450nm, it takes the bluish edge off the screen while still keeping your eyes comfortable. Look for amber glasses that filter down 50-80% of 450nm blue light.
