    The best strings ensemble library ! When do you make us a piano Chris ?? :)) if it's as realistic as your strings it will be a hit !

    is it possible to type in the exact Numbers for example for the main speed?

      No, but if you use the shift key while draging the fader, you get a finer resolution.

    I noticed this library has the different section patches (Violin/Viola/etc), but was wondering if there is going to be a Full Ensemble patch in the future? Something to use for sketching, and not just the high and low sections. Or is there a work-around to achieve the same idea?

    • @ChrisHein-WizardMedia
      @ChrisHein-WizardMedia  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of course there are full ensemble patches in two different player sizes.
      Actually what you hear in the video is mostly played with it.
      Have a look at the Instrument names in the interface.
      "All" means full Ensemble with Vln, Vla, VCL, CB playing together.

      Ah, okay. What is the difference between "All - Mix High, Low and Mid"? I thought that was like, high section, low section, mid.. I don't know why I would think that, but that was my first thought because of Albion and Metropolis - the strings are broken into High and Low sections, so I kind of figured it was that way here
      Also, what is the piece that plays 2:00 - 2:10??!

      The original range of the Full Ensemble is from C0 - G6
      Since the Keyswitches and Hot-Keys require two octaves, and you may not have an 88 keys keyboard, the high, mid and low instruments are just transposed versions for your convenience.
      However, the Full Ensemble is available is two ensemble sizes: Full and Small.

      I'm a little confused about how that works- does that mean the low section is bass/celli, mid is celli/viola, high is viola/violins? I'm sorry if this sounds stupid, I guess I just want to understand the way the patches are built so I know how to get the best out of it. :) I'm really looking forward to getting this library, especially because I already have the solo strings. I'm going to create the biggest string section of all time! lol!

      It may sound like a stupid sounding question, but actually it is not. Not asking would stupid if you really want to know whats going on. Most people do that. Not really knowing, but being happy with what they get without asking. ;-)
      (Philsophy mode off)
      With CH-Ensemble Strings you'll get Basses, Cellos, Violas and Violin Ensembles in two section sizes each.
      Fine, that covers the full string ensemble if you use them all.
      The Full Ensemble Instruments use all instruments together. Again, in two amount of player sizes..
      All Instruments used overlap each other. Basses play up to the Cello range, Cello almost covers the whole Viola range...
      Side story: I asked one of the Cello players: Is this the highest note you can play? He said: Yes. Thats the reason why god has created a Violin. (Only for the highest notes, a cello can't play) Cello players. sigh. ;-)
      The Cellos alone cover a range from C1-G5.
      In the full Ensemble Instruments, you hear all instruments playing.
      The Cello starts one octave lower than its original range, but very soft. During the octave, below the range, a real Cello should play, you hear the cellos becoming louder on each note, until it reaches the lowest playable load. At the same tome, the Basses fade out note by note when reaching their highest note.
      So, you won't hear a sound jump when the Cello suddenly doubles the Bass at C1.
      So, you are able to play a full strings ensemble from C0 to F6 with Basses, Cellos, Violas and Violins playing together without with smooth transitions between them.
      The full Ensemble is the favorite in my own music productions.
      It sounds just rich and fat but has a huge dynamic like the solo strings,

    There's any way to change the repetitions speed?

    • @ChrisHein-WizardMedia
      @ChrisHein-WizardMedia  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes of course, you can even change the speed while the repetition is running. E.g. to slow down the repetition.

    Sorry but portamento doesn't sound as realistic compared to other articulations. It has weird bump while gliding to the next note. It doesn't sound smooth and natural. Perhaps it's not naturally recorded that's why.

    Is this a new set of samples or they are just the "chris hein solo strings" samples combined togheter?

    • @ChrisHein-WizardMedia
      @ChrisHein-WizardMedia  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both, it uses samples from the solo strings and more. But only samples from Solo Instruments as a source.

      I noticed too. The voice over is mixed quite high as well. I need to turn up the volume but then the voice blasts.
