  • RipStop™Fast ripping. Hard stopping. The RipStop™ tail design creates a fast ripping, hard stopping, flashing swimbait action. It’s forward motion stops on a dime, with a subtle shimmy before coming to a rest, then ever so slightly lifts its head with a super slow-rise. Cast & wind, wind & stop, twitch, snap, rip and suspend, fish it your favorite way for all species of gamefish.

Dont misunderstand me, I love Rapala. Almost all my lures are Rapala and I just f...ing love them. But do you really think that small beal in the tail, stops the bait? More than what the front lip does???? Really? Look the xrap videos, they stop the same. Dont fool us. Parachute of a race car, really??? its a nice bait with a nice action, but its not nothing new. Just my opinion.

have you ever fished one? It really stops and suspends. I fish x-raps and the 2 baits are completely different. Ripstop is more like a shadow rap

I wanted to see not only jerks but also fast retrieve and slow retriever swimming.

I would honestly stick to the standard rap or x-rap for straight retrieve action. The ripstop is honestly more of a gimmick than anything else and not worth any price premium you have to pay over a standard rap or x-rap. The standard rap and x-wrap have really really good action for straight retrieve and jerk. Absolute 'chefs kiss' if you know what im saying.
Salmo lures are also really good and they will catch the same fish with the same build quality and action but at a slightly lower price point.

Superb lure, but with very fragile, low-quality hooks.

How does everyone expect these to do for saugeye/walleye? Is it just a gimmick bait or a possible game changer? 🤔

stick to x-rap. These only go few feet deep. Bass and pike lure

Love Rapala but I do gotta say I’ve had some lures straight out of the package with paint/clear coat imperfections. Not many but a few.
