@@dogman15if you look at the surrounding environment in the game, it looks like the ground is flowing like water, so it’s legitimately an ocean of sand, which thematically is really cool since this track comes right after Big Blue, a planet that’s 99% water.

It's a gigantic desert. The appearance of the sand flowing is probably the wind stirring up the surface.
