What we need to do is what we feel and act don't depend on these bills. How they treat you when you go outside ...do the same. It is only because of the foundation laid by the Portuguese centuries ago. True Goans (Hindus, Muslims and Christians) know how the Civil Code, the education system, culture, etc have ended systematic discrimination and fostered a harmonious bond among diverse communities in Goa. I'm not able to understand why our CM is taking so much time to take action against those involved and protect our land.
They choose Goa only because of the peaceful nature of Goans, the ease of manipulating govt officers including ministers, and huge profit potential to start a side business. Radharao is absolutely right predicting a dire and unwanted outcome for Goa and Goans.
The big question still arises.Who is selling the land to these IPS or IAS officers? Is it not the Goan people.The problem is that our people want big money and sell their land for the purpose to the highest bidder. Also the Govt machinery help these people ie TCP etc and Advocates who show them the loopholes. Unless Goans stand firmly united not to sell their ancestral land it will continue.Also there are cases where there's dispute in the family property and the easy way taken to solve the problem is to sell these properties to influential people who are able to twist the arms of those who the cause of the problem and take the land forcibly. The case in assagon in particular throws light on this practice since the property is being held by a caretaker ( Munkar) and the owner of the land was having some issues which he/she tried to resolve by selling the property to some influential Delhi person.
This Issue should be addressed in the assembly and should be stopped immediately . Now a days we are experiencing so many this type of cases in Goa. BJP Govt please stop this immediately.
I have always said that Goa should always have its own IAS, IPS,IFS cadres. Then only and then only these officers will have interest of Goa at heart. Because of these officers migrants here have an upper hand. Why do the MLAs not press for Goa cadre? It's simple. Their underhand dealings will then be exposed.
CM P. Savant should take it seriously and pass new laws, no outside Ghatis should be allowed to purchase land in GOA. No matter land may be unused. One day our generations will not have land.

it appears you have not been familiar with Goan politics and activism.The very foundations of THE UGDP were to protect our land culture and way of life. I raised the issue in the Assembly and outside. In fact the UGDP manifesto contained these aspects. Voters preferred Aleixo Sequeira over me. I was independent MLA for two and a quarter years but even after that I raised the issue. The major reason why I never joined a national party is their refusal to protect our land and culture.
If this bjp government fail to arrest goa DGP than I appeal all goan youth and New voter to protest against this government and this system wake up real goan wake up otherwise you lost your Mathrubhumi...and one day there will be a outsider and Delhi mafia Raj in goa....😢😢
