Bro 1. getch() only reads the character what u will type on keyboard. 2. getche() not only reads the character u will type on keyboard it will also shows on ur monitor.... Though both r not standard library functions... U can only find them on conio.h

stdio.h is only required when you need to use specific functions associated with stdio.h like printf and scanf etc. otherwise you can run programs without it
