hey it has ben 4 years! you really rock! i got a fender mustang and im really into RHCP and this video was the first video i ever saw of john frusciante's tone! you may not be that good at guitar but theres nothing wrong with that! we all have been there and youll get better! this video really helped me shaping my own sound and have some ideas on how to dial in the amp! keep rockin'!
Thanks! Glad I got to do this one. Somebody had asked for it like six weeks ago and life finally gave me an opening to sit down and do it. If anything, I find the negative comments intriguing on a social level. I just don't understand people that go out of their way to be negative without being constructive. I'm not planning on stopping just because a few people feel the need to be that way :)
+Boise B Thanks🙂 Usually I would recommend looking at a rig rundown first, but their live sound and studio tones can vary quite a bit. In those situations you just have to wing it. Enjoy!
You don't suck at guitar. A tip would be to try and learn things slower and accurate then try to build up the speed gradually when you can play it accurate. Hope the tip come in handy and brilliant preset. Sounds great, I am going to be using it for sure ;)
+Jack Plays Guitar Thanks Jack 🙂. I definitely do need to slow down more at the start of the process. I start to quickly and build up bad muscle memory that is difficult to break. Thanks for the tip!
@@shredbox8491 The reason it sound's terrible is because you lack rythm. Frusciante sounds amazing because of his groove. You need to find this groove and play in the right rythm. It will sound better missing a note but staying in the groove than hitting every note but they're all over the place. Exercise with metronome or play along with 0.5x speed and practice your foot tapping. Coming from someone that sucks at guitar too btw :) another tip for your californication: it sounds so choppy because your fingerset is wrong. with your method you can't led the tones ring, which is absolutely crucial. just try an a-minor chord with tapping the index finger and an f-major without barring (index on E, ring on A, tapping middle finger on G-String).
that was great! I'm for sure gunna use it sooner or later .Meanwhile, do you know any great Multi effects pedals for cheap (under 200$) That maybe has like wah, looper, etc...

You nailed the RHCP tone. I just bought the Mustang III a few days ago and am still learning my way around. Hope I can learn more from you. Thanks!

I think that you nailed tone almost perfectly, I suggest putting less reverb
Thanks!
