These are equally inspiring, and daunting. I’m full of ideas, and styles but completely lost when it comes to illustration. Do you design each aspect of the items you create, or are there templates to help scale your ideas?
hey!!! don't be daunted by the tech pack its looks complicated but once you have done one it will fall into place, there are templates out there i myself sell templates on Etsy at www.etsy.com/uk/shop/SoCalledFashion check it out, i also do custom drawings 🤗🤗🤗

Hi! Thank you so much for sharing! it helps a lot as I just switched to a fashion design freelancer. I am wondering as now I am doing freelance, how am I going to provide my clients the style number and specific codes for thread, trims, zips, fabrics etcetera...?
hey well it all depends some companys have there own set colours to use you could asl.of they have codes or specify threads of not use pantone or ask to dye to match the main body, you could also start to build up your own collection of swatch cards to reference
i don't include a graded spec sheet that is usually provided by the garment tech on the team or if your a start up i would suggest sending a garment that is similar to your supplier to get the measurements from.
How do you give the manufacturer the sizes? Do you send for every size (S,M,L,XL,XXL) the exact lengths and widths? Or are there any basic sizes the manufacturer can use first and later can make small adaptions? How is this process of finding the perfect sizes?
It depends if your working from scratch you may need to hire a pattern cutter or garment tech to measure something you have and build the block, otherwise you can send a garment you like to the supplier and ask them to replicate it and grad it to the sizes for you
I'll appreciate it if you can send me the information where to purchase the package for the tech pack book price. I like to order the formula for personal use! I am supposedly doing my tech pack for the past two months , I am scared , afraid , to make mistakes. I need a physical Thanks Jocelyne

Hey! So glad you found the video useful, I mainly use adobe illustrator, there are links in my description to the adobe suite if you are interested in using it. 👍👍👍
hey, well you wouldn't necessarily put the grading on the tech pack, you can leave this to the supplier but generally yes as you move up a size the measurements change slightly. it all depends on how you are starting your brand. if you are making everything yourself then you would have to measure, but if you are using suppliers they can work out the size changes for you.
Hi Amy, it all depends on how much detail you want to go into, mine take me about 2 hours that's drawing it from scratch and all detail, however if you are using drawings from previous specs and doing amendments not long maybe 10-20 mins

How do the measurements work when you are doing different sizes do you have to do different measurements?
