    That’s 1000% a rugable rug lol. This place looks so cute and a 15 minute Walk to the entrance of Disneyland is pretty awesome. I think it’s awesome you guys find and stay at the other places outside of the Disneyland hotels that people can stay at. I would have never known about this place if it wasn’t for you two.

      Ruggable did a great job bringing a touch of Disney here! This spot was great and we actually found it because it's highly regarded by Disneyland locals online. Unfortunately the Disney hotels are pricing us out but honestly we'd choose to come back here over Disney after the stellar experience we had. Can't wait for you, Chrissy and young Lucas to experience Disneyland together 🙂.

    We just caught your review of The Candy Cane Hotel. We have stayed there our last 3 visits. We used to stay in property, but at prices nearing $500-1,000 a night! Crazy prices with very few perks.
    I’m excited to see what other goodies at the park you share .😊

      Thank you 🙂, we actually have two more Disneyland Resort vlogs coming out soon! Definitely agree with the craziness of Disney resort prices now. Even at Walt Disney World, the Pop Century rooms that used to be $150 are sometimes $400 or more a night now. We loved it at the Candy Cane Inn and will definitely be back!

    We just returned from a 3 day stay at the Candy Cane Inn. There were 10 of us ranging in age from 7-72. We had a great stay! Awesome continental breakfast, clean, spacious rooms, free parking outside our room, pristine pool and surrounding area, and the most responsive staff on the planet.

    We've always wondered about the Candy Cane Inn! We've now stayed at the Anaheim Hotel twice, and have always found ourselves walking past Candy Cane on our way to Downtown Disney. I've always found the theming on the facade outside of the hotel, especially during the holiday season, to be somewhat captivating...but tbh I was always worried that the actual accommodations might be a little run down given how old the property is. I'm glad to see that they actually look really nice! I kind of like the vent being on the ceiling, too, particularly since we tend to leave it running all night as a white noise machine. Truly, $250/night anywhere near a theme park strikes me as a steal....but at that price, finding a room that looks like a Hilton room and includes breakfast and a fabulous-looking pool? You're robbing the system blind imo! 😁 Part of what we look forward to on our Disney trips on either coast are the Disney resort stays, so it's hard for us to give up the Disney touch for a good neighbor alternative. That said, I think it's safe to say that we're going to be eyeing the Candy Cane Inn with more enthusiasm now that we have friends who have stayed there and recommended the experience! Thanks for sharing, you two! Great vlog. ✨

      When we were asking for suggestions during our first trip to Disneyland back in 2018 a lot of people kept suggesting this hotel. We didn't take their advice and I seriously regret that decision now that we've stayed here. I had similar reservations given the age of the hotel but it really is one of the best hotels/motels we've stayed at. The vent on the ceiling is great because heat rises and definitely keeps the room cooler. We actually used a white noise machine when we stayed here! While we also like the Disney theming I honestly think the foliage here and amenities more than made up for it. The price is right too. We found most nights are a little over $300 but when you factor in distance, Incl. Food, coffee and water. I think statistically it really is an incredible value. Thank you! If you both ever stay here we'd be really interested in your take 🙂.

    This was SO helpful! For some reason, I find it harder to find a hotel in the Disneyland area as compared to Disneyworld. Will definitely be booking a stay here for our first Disneyland trip next year. Thanks guys!

      So happy we could help with your trip 🙂. It's not just you, us too! Since Disneyland really only has 3 resorts here at pretty steep prices, it can be hard to navigate the Harbor Blvd and Good Neighbor Hotel options. It's one of the reasons we missed this place our passed few visits. Hope you have the best trip! Thank you 🌟

    We always stay in a hotel because motels are typically noisier because there’s not that buffer to outside roads, bugs are more likely to come into the rooms, & I feel less safe. You had me willing to give this motel a chance until 25:34 that’s a deal-breaker for me; I’m a light sleeper. GREAT review though!

      Best secret I’ve ever found when traveling is bringing our sound machine. I purchased one when my youngest was an infant so I’ve grown accustomed to the noise it makes. When that thing is on, you can’t hear a thing. I can stay near a railroad and we’d be fine. I already have trouble sleeping in hotels as it is, so I was very relieved to find this travel “hack”.

    I really wish we were able to stay there last year! It had been closed during our trip for renovations. But it looks like such a great spot to stay and SO convenient to the parks. A great distance. Great room tour. Love the candy cane themed napkins lol. That complimentary breakfast looks AMAZING! Whoa, a huge spread for sure. It looks delicious. The pool and hot tub area look nice too, I like the roof over the hot tub. I can always hear everything in my hotel rooms too lol, everyone's always slamming. Love your Haunted Mansion ears Sam! :) Fantastic review as always!

Unfortunately we did hear a bit from other rooms but like you said that happens everywhere. Thank you 🙂. We really appreciate it!

    My family will be going to Disney World for the very first time in a couple months!! Whoot whoot. With that said we have been to Disneyland multiple times throughout my boys young childhood. They are 14 and 17 now. We are from San Diego and even though we could have driven home after a day at Disneyland we always opted to stay in a hotel when we went to Disneyland. We stayed in multiple different hotels throughout the year but the one we would choose time and time again was the Hyatt Regency Orang County. It is just a better price for a bit more upscale experience. When we first started going they had a free shuttle to Disneyland. Unfortunately now it is no longer free. But it is still a good value in my opinion. It is a better price because it is a little further away from Disney but it really is negligible.

    I booked this motel ahead of time back in 2019 for my birthday in 2020 but then covid hit. It was super affordable at the time. I decided to go and rebook at the candy cane inn about a month ago (2024) to go in March of 2025 and omg the prices skyrocketed!!! Back in 2019 booking 3 months ahead, it was about $550-$700 and when I looked into of November of this month, 5 months before my trip, it was at a total of $1,400!! I understand they refurbished it but that is a lot of money for a 4 night stay at a motel! I was looking into prices at the Disneyland Hotel and it was about $300-$400 more. I was very sad about not being able to stay here but it was asking for a lot.

    • @ThemeParkFoodies
      @ThemeParkFoodies  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    Thanks for the comprehensive video tour/review! We are planning a trip to Disneyland and this is one of the hotels we are considering. One quick question: in the last minute of the video you mention the only issues is security. Could you please elaborate? Are there safety/security issues with the hotel itself or were you referring to another aspect?

    • @ThemeParkFoodies
      @ThemeParkFoodies  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hello! Thanks so much for watching and hope you have the best trip 🙂. Candy Cane is definitely an exceptional option in our opinion. To clarify, when we spoke about security what we were referencing was having to use Disneyland's Harbor Blvd. Security gate. Due to there being numerous hotels on Harbor Blvd. It can take up to 20 min to get through security during busy times. We felt completely safe during our stay.

    I have always loved the Candy Cane Inn and have been staying there since 1964. I have watched it grow and change through the years. But this last renovation and the price hikes have priced me out of staying there. $379 a night is not something I want to pay for a motel type property, which is what they quoted me for September 2024. At that price my 3 night stay would be 1121.61! Yes. They advertise and brag about no resort fees, no parking fees, free breakfast and having a shuttle to and from Disneyland, but I can get the same thing at a hotel a little farther away, WITH no parking fees, no resort fees, free breakfast and I can park at the Disney parking lots, go back and forth 7 times a day for what the Candy Cane is now charging. To say I am disappointed is not even accurate. They took a nice place for an average family and priced us out. What a lovely way to treat your original customer base. Glad you guys were able to enjoy, but I would rather have more money to use at the park than pay their ridiculous prices.
