These guys cannot be bothered to at least make their scam look GOOD. That last video they did was just embarassing.
Hahaha I never rated it! I just said I'd review it, ya know if its real. Also I didn't spend a cent on it either. By the way love your channel!
@@Zerotonothing76 I rate your comment 4.8 stars! 😂
@@Madlittlepixel LMAO🤣
@@Zerotonothing76I had to go on their website to understand this comment lmao.
This whole thing is rediculous. Such a shame too.
OMG it’s Stevie Richards!!!
Love your vids bro
*ridiculous
This smells like the Amico all over again. Waiting for Tommy to come out now 🤣
Amico was a real product, this on the other hands points out its a sham not even a real product.
Fake it until you make it ordeal always has been with these sham companies.
misspelling powerful doesn't inspire confidence
There’s a meaning by it… think critically
They're a team of spaniards... They're not well known for their english knowledge lmao, bitches be always spelling english words wrong but also mispronouncing them as well
@@BlueCollaredGrit is it a play on words having to do with it have so many different types of media inputs and hardware architectures across SEGA's hardware all rolled into one that it is literally a box that is more full with options to harness the cutting-edge power of SEGA (who did what nintendidn't), so is therefore the most "power-full" (i.e., filled with more ways to physically power and process more consoles than any other multi-cart system out there, with nearly every SEGA console. Is it somewhere in the same vein as that, or am I waaaay off??
@@QVAZzzzThat’s what the word “powerful” means already; it literally means “full of power”.
@@happyspaceinvader508 i mean power supply as opposed to performance power so they could say "we meant it is the console that's filled with more power source inputs, not the most powerful processing capabilities" like playing dumb w/ semantic for legal claims reasons it's the most "power-full" not powerful ya know ? Otherwise there's no other meaning that would require critical analysis - totally think it's a typo too (I asked the guy "how to play Saturn/Dreamcast CD?" on the latest prototype video to get him to admit they axed the optical disc reader, lol dude's scummy)
In the Pixel Cherry Ninja Q&A one of the chatters mentioned that Alejandro was also the creator of Cinemartin Fran 8k, a video camera that was built of poor quality, and verbally attacked his critics and also tried to silence them too. After going bankrupt. He's got a shady past. This does not bode well. It looks like he's back to those same patterns
A Leopard doesn't change its spots.
No more Dreamcast? A 1000 preorders of 3 euros, is only 3000 euros. That's what's going to make or break your company, ditch your flagship product after mounths of toil and hardship, 3000 euros?
The theory is that they will set the "product" to "in fulfillment" once enough orders are in, get the full price payment, then ghost.
Yea!! Like 3000€ would make the difference between doing it or not 😂 that’s a bullshit scam
I hope Analogue takes this as a sign to bring back their Genesis and SNES clones. Truth of the matter is I'd like to see an SNES and Genesis hybrid if it's possible.
This would sell well and makes sense for newer gen retro gamers
Analouge is run by a couple monkeys who already forgot they had a successful high demand item. Look at the new colors of the pocket! I guess the only good thing about them being so retarded is my SG and NT are more valuable. Big whoop.
its only been a year since they discontinued it. sadly i dont think its coming back. they did warn everyone that it was the last batch!
@@_BELMONT_ Yep. I've not picked one of Analogue's systems up as I've my own way to play cartridges, but I think if people are falling this, it might be a good idea for them to investigate the idea of an AIO system that tries to hit as many of the targets as possible instead of just making them separate consoles to try to give people at least something they can use while still staying true to their word about the original versions being discontinued. I'd say try to go for NES, SNES, Genesis, Game Gear, and Game Boy Advance in one system if they think it can be done.
Why didn’t you buy one last year when they told us the systems were going away?
Looks to me on that tv show he was doing a magic trick. His newest trick is making your money disappear...
I was going to build a fully functional time machine but the negative comments and criticism made me stop.
If only you got 1000 preorders
A wise man once said Fool me once, shame on, shame on you. Fool me twice... You can't get fooled again"
If this was anything other than vaporware, they would be sued out of the gate for using 'sega' in its gaming system.
That pcb is super fake, theres no traces going to the cartridge slots, almost no via's and a lack of components for things like hdmi output, controller ports, usb ports, etc.
I'm glad that folks like yourself, Pixel Cherry Ninja, Video Game Esoterica are all over this. I mean it could be legit, they could just be really bad at marketing, but all signs say "NOPE".
Keep at it brother! x
VGE? Ew. Nope. He's not legit and the majority of the gaming community hates him. He's been banned from numerous websites due to him breaking rules and sp4mmjng his videos.
I'm 95% sure this is a scam
I’ll go 5% better than that.
Definitely
Iam 110% sure this is a scam
Just imagine the smell
100% scam
Kevtris himself laughed out loud on this
There's always some wannabe moneybags in the comments trying to poor shame people who don't want to be scammed. Watch the video. The pre-order authorizes them to charge your card for the full price.
They have yet to name what FPGA chip they're using. If they are this far along in development they WOULD know what chip they plan to use. You can't just develop this on the fly. You start with the chip and make sure it'll have the LCs to run all the systems and go from there. They don't want to say what they're using because the costs won't add up. The Dreamcast is going to be such a heavy lift.
Assuming SuperSEGA were intending on using that FPGA, it doesn't look too bad at all when compared to the DE10.
But, they have been claiming since day-one that they had a FULL Dreamcast "core".
(ie. an actual FPGA core, not a "core" in the context of RetroArch or similar software emulation.)
I can't be 100% sure an eventual Dreamcast core will or won't fit on that Xilinx Zynq FPGA, but it doesn't look likely.
(Xilinx / AMD, same thing. lol)
I'm sure they will soon post something saying "Oh, we meant Core, as in software emulation" once the game is up.
No surprises, they are already trying to back-track about the last two videos, where they were CLEARLY trying to pass off the mock-up PCBs as fully working boards.
The whole aim of those videos were to convince people the board is working, and running the games shown in the videos.
They even did the second video to try to "prove" things, and to show there were no obvious jump cuts.
But there's NO way that PCB could run what they are claiming, or run anything at all.
Like, not even close to any doubt.
I spotted right away, that they have traces going directly from one of the front USB ports to the rear port, so it's simply a passthrough.
The only thing on the entire board which can be considered a "voltage regulator" is the black cube near the power switch.
That's very likely just taking the 12V from the wall wart, down to 5V for the LEDs etc.
And the LEDs - very likely just a "Night Rider" style chaser, to give the impression something is working. lol
I don't know how Kevtris managed to spot that the PCB is 2-layers, as I think that would be hard to confirm just from the photos / videos.
But maybe, he is a Wizard after all. lol
It looks like SuperSEGA left the JLCPCB order number on the corner of the board.
(you can request that JLC remove that order number.)
Which is interesting, because SuperSEGA originally said they were working with a "design team" or PCB house nearer to them.
If they had said from the start, "OK, this is just a mock-up PCB atm, to check component placement and case fitment", then fine.
There were already questions over a lot of things they said and did from the get-go.
But trying to pass off the mock-up board as WORKING, nope, sorry, that seals the deal for me.
As they say on Dragons' Den: "It's a no from me... I'm out."
Imagine messing up so bad that Analogue buries you.
I understand people don't like analogue for different reasons but the products are great and they work.
They don't sell you just a dream.
Yep. That’s reserved for politicians and clergymen 😂
Dreams are free.
@@volvoguy804 but to cast them on real hardware or FPGA costs money
Even Analogue can't make an FPGA Dreamcast.
@Marcus_K They technically could, the only issue they might run into is how the dreamcast deals with piracy because it keeps a copy of the image you're playing onto the system.
Full on scam. Also it looks like junk.
Known and spoken to Kevtris many many times over a number of years now. He's the real deal and knows full well what he's talking about.
it looks like a card or mother daughter board.
Why not do Kickstarter or something. This is ridiculous to be like hey gimme money. With no guarantee this project will continue. No wonder everyone thinks it's a scam.
Analogue should make an all in one Sega 32X CD. Something to replace the "tower of power" of original hardware.
Not quite the same but another company has been making an FPGA of the cancelled Sega Neptune in Brazil
@@xryeau_1760Is that actually going to materialize though? Or is it another scam?
I know nothing about PCB boards and when I first saw him showing it off, I said to myself "Why is there so much black space on that board?"
They apparently don't understand board layout. The companies that make the boards don't critique your design. They just make whatever is in the files you send them.
If Kevtris is completely right about it, and he probably is, then this board is the most impractical looking USB pass-through. Only 4 wires actually do something which is to connect the controller at the front to output to the back. (and 5v in to light up the LEDs I guess)
They figured since the Bitcoin scam didnt work they need to come up with a different tactic. Hey! Let's try the gaming industry
I don't really like their attitude in that reply. "Do you think that..."? Such replies should begin with "We're afraid that we can't" stating that it's a bit too early, etc.
Computers geeks aren't exactly known for their people skills. Look how surly Linux gurus typically are.
@@RealDevastatia could be the case, but being polite/professional to a simple question is a thing of common sense
It’s either a scam or the people really, really have no idea what they’re doing and are digging themselves deeper.
I was reviewing the TH-cam Channel for the owner of SuperSega.
There are more questions than answers.
1.) In the early videos, he reveals how there are 3 cartridge slots (for Japanese SMS and SG-1000 games, for NTSC/SA/PAL SMS games, and for Genesis/Megadrive games.
He reveals how the cartridge-based games operate on the console.
He later revealed how he is running "Bomberman" for the Sega Saturn....without a CD player. So was he running the Saturn version of Bomberman off a memory card? If so, then, wouldn't this be emulation and not actually show if there is real Saturn-compatible Hardware?
2.) Further, where is the CD drive in earlier models of this SuperSega Console. IN newer videos, he revealed a longer version of the console with a CD-based disc read on the side of the console. But he does not show if the CD drive runs any Sega-CD, Saturn, nor DreamCast Games.
3.) In one video on the person's website, he reveals the earlier console (with only 3 cartridge slots ) without the top cover.
It shows the circuit board.
IN another video, he puts an "allen-wrench device" through a hole on the top cover, and partially turns the allen-wrench device. What was the purpose of that?
4.) IN another video, he removes cartridges while the console power is still turned on. Isn't that unsafe?
5.) ON the front of the console, there are 4-ports ( 5 prongs on top plus 4-prongs on the bottom of each port). Are these ports suppose to be compatible with original Sega MAster System and Sega Genesis controllers? If so, why is one of these ports on the rear of the console?
6.) There are about 3 videos of a blonde spokesperson. In one video, she speaks Portugues or Spanish. IN another video, she speaks Japanese, and in another, she speaks Englsih.
Do these videos appear AI Generated or AI edited?
7.) The preorder section of this owner of SuperSega is closed. So it appears that he won't accept more preorders.
BUt initially, he charged 3 Euro Dollars and later requested several hundred dollars.
But was there anywhere in the pre-order process that read that there would be a guaranteed or no-guarantee of actually receiving a product, despite paying in advance?
If the pre-order process indicated that there would be no-guarantee, then, paid-customers are now vulnerable to be scammed/ripped off.
Further, during the pre-order process, how much personal information and payment information was required?
If there needed a name, address, phone number, email, PayPal account ID, Zelle ID, Credit Card information, then, this SuperSega Owner has all this personal information.
Where is the safety and security to safeguard this information?
Also, wouldn't whatever database or server that process this level of personal information also be vulnerable to hackers, identity-thieves, etc.?
8.) Regarding the scene with the Lamborghini, he probably rented that vehicle with the accumulation of 3 Euro Dollars from multiple customers .
But where is the location of where he made the videos of the console working/being functional?
I know you should not judege a book by it's cover... but that neighborhood looked very sketchy.
And anybody driving a Lamborghini in a neighborhood such as that one would be highly likely asking for trouble.
I posted these also on "PCN" comment section for his video addressing SuperSega.
I think this is a good way of discussing how shady the SuperSega guy is, and to be aware of these types of people.
Maaaan, ReviewTechUSA would be talking about this thing if he still had a channel fr
he'd just rub some stupid bird statue on his nips while making stupid faces.
unless you are talking about RTS 5 years ago.
Even kickstarter wouldn’t touch this!!
Kevtris is like the Kang The Conqueror for FPGA
He knows it all. U can't Smoke a person who knows something from inside OUT
Imo no one does Better than Analogue when it comes to FPGA
The foot bones connected to the leg bone 😂
This has looked obviously fake from the start to me. There's no circuitry near the hdmi port. Literally no other working PCB looks like that.
The signal interference would be atrocious.
I’m pre-ordering 100 of them
You are a smart person DJC.
The Dukes are cornering the market
They have a barely functional prototype if it is even functional at all and they expect people to hand over money or they won't even bother finishing it. Then go on to blame the negative comments as the reason they don't have enough preorders?
They should have a nearly finished version at this stage if they want money that they aren't going to give back.
They are luring people with the 375€ special price to then disappear with it... that's what i think..
I think the same thing. Just the wording they used sounds like they plan on not moving forward no matter what
@dannydorito4675 Exactly. 1k people for 3 €euros does nothing, it's only 3k, that's not enough for anything. But running away with 500x 375 that's like 200k it's a toon of cash... I do not believe this, it just feels sketchy all the way.
He was involved in a previous business creating a camera of poor quality and then shut the company down. So, this is actually not new for him
Thanks for covering this madness :)
Love from UK!
how can they use "Sega" in this thing?
I'm guessing Sega hasn't noticed them yet.
@@TightPantsJackoh no sorry guys Sega is threatening us legally so we've had to shut it down....no refunds. Lol.
Why is $5000 keeping them from continuing production or shutting down?
Sounds like they don't want to risk a penny of their own funds. Just yours.
Its not. Its quite the sneaky scam, most people arnt going to chase them up for 3 euros when they go dark and they trouser that money at the cost of a fake pcb and a few components. If by some miracle they reach their goal they can then fleece the full $300 from the marks before buggering off into the spanish sunset. Quite clever really, or it would have been if they weren't so incompetent with their videos.
I always felt this project was too good to be true, and I still dont know how Sega didn't go after him for using their name.
After Paprium, I won't do independent "Pre-orders" ever again. I'll just wait for them to have on-hand products, and if it gets bought up, it gets bought up, either way I'm not letting myself be depleted of a chunk of money for months on end for an empty promise.
This is a total scam, and even if it wasn't, 8GB of RAM is overkill for what it is trying to do. Only use what is necessary to get the job done.
The large RAMs may be cheaper in bulk than older chips with less memory.
That circus/clown thing video of him scares me the hell out
I think I know this song.
Don't call my name, don't call my name
Alejandro.....Stop, please
Just let me go
Alejandro, just let me go....
The thumbnail is really strong
The biggest red flags should be the Lambo without the parking brake on and if not that one, then the shady black spray painted box that he put on the top of the Lambo should be enough....No??? LMAO This guy is making the Amico look 5 Star at this stage....
Kevtris is a hack. Dreamcast can totally run on a 2 layer board with basically nothing on it.
What ever happened to the Neptune project? That actually looked to better than what Analogue offers
NO WAY! NO WAY! NO WAY! NO WAY! NO WAY! NO WAY! NO WAY! NO WAY! NO WAY!
If it doesn't turn out to be a grift, it'll be a poor console. Dual HDMI? Isn't HDMI a licensed product? If they are asking $405 they are either unlicensed in using HDMI and probably have poor implementation, meaning it'll not work properly on displays using HDMI. It isn't making any confidence with the spelling and grammar issues, along with not showing a well done and ready prototype that is ready for production.
Is that video with the controller just bad quality so I am missing it or is there NO power light on that 360 controller? I have only seen the video in pieces when it is being critiqued by youtubers so I may have just missed the light. For those who don't use 360 pads NO light means NO power. NO power means the obvious the pad won't work.
super sega isn't affiliated with sega right? Why do fan projects that are clearly seperate from Company IP get struck down, but projects like this that seem like they're real sega screwing with people, get to use their logo and name?
Probably not noticed by Sega yet. I would think once they are aware, they will send cease and desist letters to them.
Sega hasn't been particularly litigous since the real Dreamcast was still on shelves so they probably thought they could get away with it. This project would've been annihilated had it been targeting Nintendo's Gamecube instead though
I literally cannot stop laughing at the videos they’ve been posting, especially the English dub with the blonde woman in the tn 😂 comedy gold. The pcb dangling on a fishing line in front of a green screen had me howling 😂 “Are you one of those nostalgic? The super seeg is a console in the world. Originallllyyyy. So book now!”
570 euros for this? Sheesh. Even the base Polymega was cheaper and that stole from more consoles
This feels so much like a scam.
Just a bunch of motherboards or daughter board card thing components
This is the Amico all over again
ITS ON THE LAUNCHPAD!! Supersega forever live stream tomorrow boys!! Lets shill the sht out of this!! 😂😂🎉
Nah, this is such a weird sales pitch. Like even if this is real, he needs to get someone to manage his crowdfunding who knows what they are doing. Also need someone who's more charismatic and knows how to talk to people to be the face of his company. Watching further... If Kevtris says it's nonsense then it is. He knows his stuff and has been doing this sort of thing for a really long time.
This all sounds like a half-ass DIY Kickstarter campaign? 😂
I got bad news Ron, it looks like Sega is going to delist a bunch of games soon from digital storefront. I heard news from Nintendolife that Sega is going to delist that Sega Genesis Classics Collection from the Switch eShop soon this December 6. It's likely it won't just be the Switch version either, it could be from the other platforms as well.
Straight up scam. Looks like coleco chameleon and Amico scam version 3.0. Keep your money people.
Good times 😢
Seems like a scam
Why don't they release a prototype to a reviever to make sales?
Oh no they scammed $400 bucks, probably much less after the credit card fees
I don't trust the Sega console guys, but I definitely don't trust anyone from Analogue either. Their entire business model is scammy. Pumping out variations of products for scalpers to buy out the second they hit the market. Their scam is a direct competitor to this product if it's actually real.
I’ll be keeping an eye out on this thing too, but it does appear to be sus as well to me. At least 3 euros is a bit better than losing $100 for a preorder that is “guaranteed” that you can get your money back. Sheesh! At least Analogue is somewhat honest in their products to a degree.
Was he switching carts with the power on? or is the pcb not powered?.
This reminds of that Colecovision scam years ago. Think it was just a graphics card on a board or something, I think it’s the guys that bought the Atari Jaguar shells. Total scam
Man!, emulation sure looks slot better than this foolish nonsense
Thumbnail says it all: this won't end well. Too bad, this would have been a must buy for me if it didn't reek of scam/rug pull
Take my money is literal on this one. They are taking it and running.
Thanks for being CSI madlittlepixel. YOU ARE THE BEST.
unpresentable, I prefer to buy all the analogue consoles before that invention.
Competition to the Analogue with 151 preorders?
It's a scam without question. If it were real, we would get a much better look at the board and specifically, at the FPGA chip. By the way...who uses Compact Flash cards in 2024? Nobody does in general.
this is super sketch. They are asking too much for what it does.
Thanks.
And they took people's $400.
Smells like Amico....
I think Tommy "Amico" has poisoned the waters for many would be retro console creators. Even if this is a legit console, I won't be spending on it until it's out and proven. And even then...
Pixel likes blondes. :D
We wouldn't need things like this if Sega just did what Atari is doing. They can't have that much more money that it'd be impossible to make a new Sega Genesis and release 1-2 games (from homebrew games) along with rereleasing 3-4 games a year
Atari's barely done anything outside of release the 2600+ which is just a software emulator, and Sega already released the Genesis mini. I doubt they're gonna do the same thing for the Dreamcast because it'd be more complicated and would only service older fans
@@xryeau_1760 A Genesis Mini with a cartridge slot would be awesome and I might buy it if they did that. The fact that they have the Genesis mini should make it easier
Sega quit the hardware business after the Saturn and Dreamcast failed to meet sales goals. It's unlikely they'll spend money developing a niche product. They already spend millions making games for other companies' consoles.
@@RealDevastatia Atari quit too. So my point still stands
Careful for rgt85 creeping in people's chat hes a crappy drama channel now
Total scam, I'll go with the guy from Analogue on this one.
I smell Tallarico…
Ding ding ding
You may want to see a doctor for that, smelling a Tallarico doesn't sound healthy at all.
Popped collar is all you need to know the legitimacy
they seem so unorganized and unsure how to try and pull this off. What is their business plan with the $3 pre reservation and how does it allow them to manufacture anything? The timeline makes no sense, if they dont have a finalized prototype why would they try to set a release date? The videos seem hastily made with poor production and almost no planning or prep for shooting the videos. I feel like they need to go back to the idea phase and write up an outline of how they plan to make this, flesh out the ideas and put up a website with all the information. The videos they are putting out only make the project seem more scammy lol
Sorry to be judgmental, but if they can not communicate effectively in English, the English speaking world should not throw money their way.
Reminds me of the scam known as the Retro Engine Sigma that's just an Orange Pi inside a Gen 1 Genesis shell or the shill'd Metal Jesus console, the Seedi
I actually picked one of those (retro engine sigma) up at a local game store. It was a scam in the sense that they didn't have any after sales support and expected the open source community to support it for both patches and downloads. If you managed to update it before the (I imagine disgusted) orange pi distro devs updated their distribution, it actually worked as well as a unit with that amount of processing power could be expected to work, the power switch actually does a linux shutdown when you turn it off, the case is nice, etc.
Not sure what to think about this.... But 3Euros for the one where they don't charge you for the full price is ok... If I lose 3euros I'll be ok... But I definitely won't pick the one where they charge me the full price...
Is Alejandro affiliated in any way with Tommy Tallarico? Really starting to smell like Intellivision Amico, to me.
Thanks for this video. It helps us avoid this scam.
I smell another Paprium
They probably asked an AI "Which fandom of people are succeptible to hype?" and they AI responded "Early Dreamcast adopters"😊
reading this comment was like getting my soul weighed by maat
I give this product an 850 scammer stars out of 10! Give generously!
To my eyes your camera is making you look a little low contrast. Compared to the screen share and your background which look perfect.
This guy is Spain's biggest embarrassment
Feels scam-y
Thanks for keeping on top of this crap. Save a few people from getting scammed.
Definitely a scam. Too bad for those suckers that lost their 3 Euros
Kevtris is 100% correct.
So this thing is veering into Amico territory then.
I will get the Brazilian "GF1 Neptune" that will play 32X & Genesis Cartridges!
