    *Love it! Keeps the room very **Fastly.Cool** . The manual states it comes with a year warranty and 5 year part replacement. The compressor makes the typical sound...small price to pay for AC.*

    I just constructed an Allan and Roth “lean-to” gazebo. I won’t make that mistake again.

    Do you leave it up during snow?

    • @macgyver03ga
      @macgyver03ga  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doesn’t really snow much in GA so yes. It got snowed on a couple times. Used a broom to knock the snow off.

    Thanks for the great video. I have installed one at my place and have the same issue as you are discussing with rainwater against the back door and wall. Can you tell me more detail on your gutter system as I need to do something similar. Thanks!!!

      I just bought a 2x3 gutter downspout and cut one side off creating a U shape. Used a hand crimper to fold & crimp the edges. Hung it up with some zip ties & put a little slope/pitch on it. Worked great.

    Thank you for sharing this video, Do we have to take HOA approval before installing?

    Hello..may be a long shot but would you possibly have the item/model number of yours? I purchased as is in 2018 and tried purchasing a replacement part and it’s the wrong part. I used the current model since they seem identical. Thanks!

      It’s in the description. I don’t have the gazebo anymore. We sold it to a friend when we built our screened porch addition last spring.

    Hey how did you install the gutter there? I just bought this gazebo and the same water thing will happen to me with my back door

    • @macgyver03ga
      @macgyver03ga  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn’t have enough room to fit a standard size gutter between the gazebo and wall, so i made out out of a 3” downspout pipe. Cut one side off of it and crimped the edges so they weren’t sharp. Zip tied it to the gazebo and made sure it sloped from one side to the other.
      If you have enough room, just grab a gutter section (should come in 10’ pieces) off the shelf at Home Depot or lowes.

      @@macgyver03ga super innovative! I’m assuming you still get just a bit of water in the crack still because it’s not attached to the wall/caulked off?
      I’ll be heading the the store to try this. Thank you.

      Kristina Kountouris yeah it was a tiny bit but with the roof overhang above it wasn’t much. Just some random drops running down the siding in really heavy rain.

    Does the canopy puddle up at all during rain storms?

    Any chance you remember the dimensions of the box it came in? My local lowes did not have one in stock so I am going to a different lowes tomorrow and hoping it will fit in my little hatchback 😁 Thanks!

      We had Home Depot deliver our 10x12 Gazebo because I have a Hyundai Kona. Not happening lol plus ours is all steel so it was really heavy. It’s taking us 4 days to build and day 4 is tomorrow :) Yay!! Not paying Home Depot $500 to install lol

    I have this and it's very nice. No water gets in except when the wind blows but only at the base of the curtains. We still say dry on the inside. Excellent sun protection. I remove the dome before a hurricane hits. Easy to remove and put back on. The fan is a hit .

    Thanks for sharing this video! Believe it or not I think (at the time of this comment) that Lowe’s still has this on clearance. This video helped my wife and I decide to go ahead and grab this one. I also love that fan that comes separate as well! Thanks for the review!

      Amilkar Gonzalez awesome! Glad I could assist. Ours has now gone onto a new owner (a friend of mine) now that we finally built our screened porch this year. We did have to replace the canvas top due to a snow clearing incident this winter. My wife accidentally poked/ripped a hole in it with the broom when clearing some snow off of it...

    Where did you get that fan at and how did you install it

    • @macgyver03ga
      @macgyver03ga  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The fan is also an Allen-Roth brand. It's from Lowes. It just hangs from a hook built in to the gazebo frame. I ran a brown extension cord up to plug it into and zip tied that to the roof supports. Then it's plugged into an exterior outlet using a remote control exterior grade power switch. That allows you to turn the fan and string lights on and off with a remote control.

    • @macgyver03ga

      Kevin James it’s $120 at Lowes. It’s the Allen+Roth Valdosta 20” fan.

      Rukes thagoat with 2 people, maybe an hour. It can be done solo with some creativity, but really need 2 people.

    • @johnfoster3843

      I get that you used lag screws but how did you secure them to the gazebo posts?

    • @macgyver03ga
      @macgyver03ga  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      John Foster I used some Fastenmaster Timberlok screws to secure it down. There are some fastener holes in the baseplates of the posts. I used 2 screws per post.
