I just gotta tell that this concept was artistically thought by Hui (the guy who just hit 6 consecutive high-notes lol), his inspo is Jean Michel Basquiat (a painter) with Neo-expressionism style focused on dichotomy. He endeavor the lyrics to depict their path (as a Pentagon or just ppl's hardships in general) in correlation to Basquiat's art (and his famous crown logo) He was so passionate when doing this to the point that the instrumentals has to be classically stirring too. They have been working so hard as a self-produced group, my boys are not just idols, they are an artist.
As somebody who is extremely fascinated by deep meanings in songs very emotional performing, I intensely am in love with this MV. The fact that Hui is behind this whole idea and performs emotions in a way that I can personally feel them, is so chill inducing

He saw a photograph of a skateboarder who fell down and was hurt and bleeding, but the guy still had a huge smile on his face. Hui loved that spirit of being passionate about something even when you have to go through a lot of difficult experiences and hard work because of it, and that inspired Like This.

They had RCY ceremony, Kino doing Kissing Booths, Yeo One practicing for a musical, Still doing VLIVES and TH-cam FOR US almost EVERYDAY after RTK, and many other projects we don't know about!!
The only time they rest was that 2 short days after RTK and STILL instead of sleeping they went on Vlive. Imagine if they have to shoot an MV? ONE OF THEM WILL COLLAPSE!

I wasn't into Pentagon when I first heard this, and I think this might have been one of the first if not the first Pentagon songs I listened to. But I remember the thing that really stood out to me was Hui's voice and he quickly became one of my favorite voices in kpop.

I saw a lot of people upset about the vi3ws so I'd like to point out:
We're almost on the similar pace to the RtK finals Basquiat (and note that on the finals there were more audience interested on)
Actually since it's a "performance video" is more difficult to reach people outside from the fandom since
- kpop Stans doesn't saw a lot of it
- for whose aren't Stans at first it will seem like "something they already saw" (and yesterday we had like 5, 6 comebacks/debuts so it may àffcted on Basquiat repercussion)
Still, I know and I can understand that it's a frustrating situation but remember that Pentagon always made clear that they value our bond and support/love for them than numbers. They always told us to not blame ourselves, that they believe in universe and honestly? That's so beautiful. So please, I know it's upsetting but don't be super harsh on yourselves and DON'T blame other universes. I saw a lot of them tired after RtK and taking a time. Also, understand that not everyone is avaliabe 24 hours to str3am; mental health matter more than kpop, don't blame our fandom and make universe feel bad, just don't, we're better than this

I really don't know why people sleep so much in this group, I'm not from fandom but I know pentagon has been here since 2016 and deserves to be as big as other groups, I get so sad to see people ignoring such talented boys, I'm sure everyone who watched RTK realized how much these boys give their all in their performances. Pentagon has amazing vocals, wonderful rappers, the songs and performances are FANTASTIC!!! What makes me more shocked is that you can feel the emotion they convey during their presentations, it's quite a group.
This group overflows with talent, pentagon deserves more recognition, DESERVES better promotions, deserves a huge fandom, deserves a hundreds of wins, and I'll help in what I can.

This group is so amazing. Being flexible is not a joke! They can even manage their emotions and still give their best, back in Road to Kingdom. But dont you agree that they deserve more of the crown? I hope others will be enlightened to see how much this group's beauty really is.
I just gotta tell that this concept was artistically thought by Hui (the guy who just hit 6 consecutive high-notes lol), his inspo is Jean Michel Basquiat (a painter) with Neo-expressionism style focused on dichotomy. He endeavor the lyrics to depict their path (as a Pentagon or just ppl's hardships in general) in correlation to Basquiat's art (and his famous crown logo) He was so passionate when doing this to the point that the instrumentals has to be classically stirring too. They have been working so hard as a self-produced group, my boys are not just idols, they are an artist.

As somebody who is extremely fascinated by deep meanings in songs very emotional performing, I intensely am in love with this MV. The fact that Hui is behind this whole idea and performs emotions in a way that I can personally feel them, is so chill inducing

Pentagon puts so much thought and emotion into the songs they produce 💜 Personally, I also like the story behind Hui composing the song Like This. He saw a photograph of a skateboarder who fell down and was hurt and bleeding, but the guy still had a huge smile on his face. Hui loved that spirit of being passionate about something even when you have to go through a lot of difficult experiences and hard work because of it, and that inspired Like This.

The title "Basquiat" was an American, dark-skinned artist whose symbol was a crown with three peaks (they have a symbol on arms). He was using his art to fight with racism and to support the black community. I think his character is closely related to the song
honestly i thought the song is pretty relevant these days as well. as there are lyrics “i wanna hear your voice” like i wanna hear you protesting and i want you to stand up for something. Billie jean Basquiat was an American astist whose work was for freedom, against racism, against homophobia etc and im really proud of pentagon for this!!

I really don‘t understand why Pentagon is so underrated and unappreciated like they literally have no bad song in their discography. They just create one masterpiece after another one. They have amazing vocals, raps and dances. They deserve worldwide recognition and I wish people would start to realize that. Like we don‘t force people to like or stan Pentagon but y‘all have to be at least honest that Pentagon is so damn talented!! Like I could name a random song or a random musicvideo of them and it would be a good one. It would be an amazing one. They also are so so strong. Like many other idols they also went through tough times and they managed to handle that time. They have Hui as leader, one of the best leaders you have ever seen. If you watch Pentagon content you‘ll NEVER waste that time. They are a group that helps many people through bad times and they always make sure to give Universe another reason to be happy. Pentagon deserves better. Give them the support they deserve. Give every single member the love they deserve. They all are talented men and they all deserve just the best.
