This video just saved my life. The dryer broke and my mother said if I didn’t fix it I’d have to live on my own because this was the final straw- I’d already broken enough stuff around the house. Needless to say this video got the job done and I now don’t need to worry about finding a place that will hire someone in a wheelchair without a degree. Thank you so much! Hope you’re doing well.
Had to do this exact thing today and everytime I plugged that 220V back in I closed my eyes and hoped to live (had to redo things a few times to my liking, so there were multiple unplugs/replugs). Thanks for the video!
Am not lying the video is the only video that actually showed us how to connect it on youtube which is mindblowing and it really helped thanks so much 😊
this is the best video in the sense that it shows exactly what happens when u connect to the vent side first time - machine side is easy. twisting to clock wise will do the job 😊 Thanks for the share
Your video helped me greatly. I followed your instructions; as my vent tube clasp is the same as the one in your video. Didn't take long at all. Thanks. 12/5/21.
I got one in my dryer for over 10 years. They say it is flammable. Is that true? but I see some semi rigid out there, they look like a better alternative but they come with so much headaches to mount them. I think I will buy the same again since it offers better flexibility to get the dryer closer to the wall/.
I purchased a semi rigid and put it on there it’s a little harder to get on but it’s supposed to be a better solution so I would recommend the semi rigid all steel exhaust I’ve got another video on how to how to do it good luck and thanks for watching
@@TomLeeman I bought the Close Elbow kit semi rigid from Ebay for $18 after I have read some reviews saying the flexible vents are illegal and flammable. Thank you for advises guys.
I would have to see exactly what’s going on there to diagnose it but you can purchase long sleeves that go through the wall out to your vent Thanks for watching
NEVER use these type of flex hoses on your dryer. Always use the rigid pipe of semi rigid hose. These type of flexible hoses cause waaaay too much back pressure.
Your first mistake was buying a slinky aluminum foil exhaust hose. They are inadequate and dangerous. The transition from dryer to the wall should be rigid or semi rigid aluminum. The spring clamps you're trying to re-use are a bad idea, you need a 4" hose clamp

Congratulations do it yourself. Thanks for watching.
Ok so how do you fix the part in the wall. Mine is stuck inside the wall

Thanks for the Tip I'm changing mine today
@@TomLeeman They can be fire hazards too.
And fire hazard
Your first mistake was buying a slinky aluminum foil exhaust hose. They are inadequate and dangerous. The transition from dryer to the wall should be rigid or semi rigid aluminum. The spring clamps you're trying to re-use are a bad idea, you need a 4" hose clamp
Excellent thank you for the info
That type of flexible duct isn't meant for dryers. Buy the semi rigid flex which is made of thicker aluminum.
You are absolutely right and I did change it and got a new one
Thank you!
You're welcome!
thank you!!!
That’s all I wear 😂
Should not use that type of hose. Fire hazard
What about the hose is a fire hazard? This is the type of hose I see in every house I'm in
Wt to use then?
Always use metal instead of that trash.
The you realize after tightening that cheap foil you will make holes into it
They also have ridgid ones that you can buy thanks for watching
Has to be at least semi rigid pipe, foil pipe is illegal
Good tip and I have changed it and you can check out the video on my site where I do that and I put in a new dryer
The hairy leg though 🤦🏼♀️
ya
Hairy legs help in replacing dryer vents
😂😂😂I'm dying.
The guy in flip flops, shorts, no safety example..you don't work in flip flops
It’s the only kind of Shoes I have
