I found this video after I ordered a similar grapple. I hope mine works as good as yours. I am a few days away from delivery.

Very good video! I have same tractor with loader but I don't have the third valve option to where I can hook up this attachment. oh well.

You can run lines from the rear remotes for fairly cheap and use the rear controls

What is the item number on this unit? Is the grapple removable, so I can use the forks on Taller, larger loads than the grapple can open up for? I have read contradictory answers some say they are removable with three pins, another said they are welded on and not removable? thanks!

Hi Heather! Thanks for the sub and comment! They are removable with three pins but it isn’t something you’d want to do regularly. It would be clumsy and heavy to get the grapple on and off. The grapple does get in the way but not very often. I’ve always been able to lift anything I’ve needed to but can’t always pull all the way in on some of the taller items like I’d like to.

Good to know, thanks for the reply. I have a Montana R3644 with rear hydraulic connections, can I connect the grapple to these or should I add a third function unit?

@@heathero1183 you can attach the grapple to the rear but you’ll likely need to get longer hoses made up. Still it will be cheaper than a third function kit. A lot of folks go that route. It’s just a little more clumsy than having a switch to operate the grapple like you’d have with a 3rd function valve. Either way will work!

Does the grapple not close any further than you show? Those logs it’s not really clamping on
