This was my favorite scene in the movie. Keith David got his wake up call. He used to be the shit on the horn. Back when Charlie Parker was a little boy. Charlie is a man now. Now, he's the shit. And Keith, you aint got shit on the Bird. Don't throw your horn away. Buy you some Charlie Parker albums and go practice man.

This is ridiculous. The two older players are more or less playing modern jazz, I.e. improvised lines that reflect bebop and Parker’s influence! (You can hear Parker devices as well as phrases that suggest Sonny Stitt, Gene Ammons etc.-even the trumpet player plays a blatant Parker Cliche at 2:46!) This had to have been an inside Joke by the musicians hired to create this scene. What I also find annoying are the depicted antics (all the body English) by the actors “playing” the music. Jazz musicians - while deep into the act of improvisation- typically appear quite different.

It Bares Repeating--Either One Of Three Things That Makes This Film Discussing & Horrible:
A.Either Forest Whitaker Plainly Didn't Character Study The 1951 Film Clip Of Bird & Diz T.V.📺 Performance Which Should Have Been Available To Him(Parker Stood Still Like A Machine Wit Feriocous Concentration & Didn't MOVE By Head Jerks Only Except His Fingers)& @ The Embarrassing Jam Session Scene The Soundtrack Wasn't Terribly Convincing Enough--The Sax Player Was Hitting All The Changes Wit Study Rhythm For The Most Part Etc
2.Clint Eastwood Should Have Known Better If He Himself Supposedly A "Charlie 🐦🎷Parker Fan"-👎!!
    &
3.This MOVIE Needs To Be Redone ASAP 🎬📽️🎥!!
