26:23 So just to caution, there's always a survivorship bias towards the newest unit when considering "usage rate" as a statistic. It is based on the percentage of users that deployed the unit, *if they own the unit.* So if players pulled the newest unit, they will probably want to use the newest unit no matter if the unit is good or bad, thus leading to a high usage rate by default because it is very unlikely that someone is going to bench the character they just pulled. So it's not a fair assessment to just look at usage rate on its own, every new unit is going to look like a must-pull based on that statistic, so make sure to also look at cycle count and team usage rates/cycle counts to judge whether a unit is good for your account or not.
That being said Acheron, Fu, and RM are still nuts either way so eh.

There is also an issue taken into regard cycle clears as well and that is relic randomization. There was a reason why high units are both lowest and highest in clear times in here and it is not just party composition. These numbers don't really show much of anything except what people like to use during that MoC because of that fact, especially when taking a low sample size. How many out of 10 people are going to have cracked relics, not many.
Then there's the issue you brought up with people wanting to get the most out of their "premium" character, which also leads to them handing the cracked relics, if gotten, to them.
Yeah basically, also 96% usage rate for a dps unit should mean one of two things, either that this unit basically does a 10000% more damage than every other dps unit that you shouldn’t use anyone else, or they just launched. Now since we know Acheron is on par with JL and DHIL, it’s obviously the latter.
You can see how DHIL (outside of the goat Xueyi) is basically the lowest cycle of this MoC and imo he got downplayed heavily alongside JL when Acheron launched.
@@danishyland7704 Yeah there's always problems with other statistics too, and good to keep that in mind, but I think law of large numbers is likely enough to take care of relic variance. Like Xueyi has historically been one of the hardest characters to rank and build because she simultaneously wants 4pc Quantum and 5 damage stats of cr/cd/atk/break/spd and her performance can range from crap to godly depending on relic quality, and the sample size is incredibly small for Xueyi in the data because she only has a hundred or so entries whereas someone like DHIL has 10k+. So Xueyi obviously exhibits high variance which isn't properly averaged out here. I think overall though, for most popular picks, the sample size is large enough that the relic quality gets averaged out to around "decent" and a level that most players could obtain.
@@fredxu99The issue is the law of large numbers can't really be applied here faithfully. Given we don't know the numbers of people actually signing up for these stats (and to a degree what kind of bias that invites given the circumstance, people with broken relics would want to show how much they have developed). So therefore variance is still very much in play.
Not to say there isn't powercreep however, given that's how they sell units but to the degree of needing to call someone "mid", I think not. Blade can still clear in reasonable time despite this showing that he has fallen off (and there was no wind weakness, which seems to be the more likely reason of not being picked). [I am not a blade main this was only an example]

My day one wives E6 Xueyi and E6 Yukong consistently with the fastest clears. ❤
Yeah Yukong E6 is a huge buff and really slept on. I don't think that prydwen tier list does her justice because at E6 she is a monster. If you are willing to speed tune she is basically insta-crit plus the atk buff is insane. I can't wait to be lucky enough to get 3 more Yukong. I bring her out every once in a while.

Speaking as Herta's strongest soldier (apparently she was my most deployed character) I think I have a pretty good idea why she's got lower but still respectable numbers, as well as Himeko: those two are incredibly reliant on the enemies being weak to them. I've been using Herta since 1.0, and I've always believed in her potential, as she is a great pick not just against the deer but the sanctus medicus general and team leader elites. The problem is she severally drops off in usefulness when enemies aren't weak to ice. Same with Himeko, since she really wants to keep breaking enemies and that's where most of her damage comes from
As an Argenti enjoyer, I have a theory. Argenty was so out of nowhere and badly presented, so only dolphins have him, low spenders skipped. But dolphins would also have Acheron and Kafka/Swan team and Jinliu, so does not have a reason to bring Argenti.
As one of the 3 Xueyi mains can confirm, my E0 Xueyi with Aventurine usually gets 2-3 cycles on the first side

You can see all the resistance of the boss in the moc units selection thingy and also Aventurine dont have fire resistance so you can use fire dps too

Sadly, my fire DPS is E3 Guinaifen, so that’s not very effective outside of pure fiction.

From what I have noticed ,enemies have high resistance to the element type damage they do.
Not sure if this was mentioned later on but usage rates are extremely affected by bias
First thing is that the usage rates are calculated accounting for ownership which can push usage rate up or down depending on how easy to get characters are
Second thing is that some characters like yukong shine at specific breakpoints and people dont use them before that as much which means that generally people that use her have higher levels of investment than "average player"

All this really say is that DHIL is still undoubtedly the second Best DPS in the game behind Acheron
And going pure DPS potential, he is still the fastest character to clear MOC

Blade - Jing Liu isn't going to be meta-defining speed, but I feel like the criticism is a bit harsh. It's unfortunate but Wind+Ice is an elemental weakness combination with a very low presence, which means one of them (typically Blade) is going to be mostly off element and this is pretty copium. It's just like Ratio - Topaz, except that Imaginary-Fire weakness has been added more of since Penacony and they have slightly better inherent synergy than Blade - Jingliu so they pop off more spectacularly.

How much speed should gepard hace to be efficient? Mine has 139 speed and 3500 defense, and still get killer.and from what i SEE, it is very used in CN
The thing with DHIL is that at e0 he clears as fast or as fast a e6s of other limited 5 stars. A fully whaled e6 bs/kafka actually doesnt clear MoC12 any faster than an e0 f2p DHIL team. Still a completely broken unit that is too much of an outlier.

Kinda funny to me how I actually prefer my E0S0 Kafka over my E0S1 Acheron in 2nd half against Aventurine. I was struggling with my clears and maybe bc my Acheron build is still bad, that I gave up using her and ran my usual teams: DHIL - Sparkle first half, Kafka - BS 2nd half. I got it first try. XD

Bringing us content that nobody else can. Nice. The only reason pela and sw have such high surges in use is because of acheron, nothing else. It actually seems with boothill physical implant, and firefly e1 applying fire weakness that eventually if not for acheron, she would get phased out.

Acheron with Silverwolf definitely helped the most in first half and the MoC buff is godsent. Jingliu is good in second half and can also use the buff quite well. I am guessing this is not the last PF because Herta Himeko is a free 40K for first half.
Topaz is used twice as much as Ratio? What other teams would you run her on?

example: blackswan probably has a lot of use because she will be owned by less users than let's say pela. in percentage looks like more people use blackswan, but that's just isn't possible because pela is a 4 star. if they have the stats in quantity, i'm certain pela will have more usage

Galagher's heal is dependent on his debuff and debuffs are prone to go away when debuffed enemy dies, so his heal sticks only to bosses, normal mobs are too fragile for his heal to work with them.

Xueyis clear times and usage will get even better for 2.2. Hmc is such a great unit for her. I finally got her E6 and tried moc 12-1 got a 3 cycle clear without really trying
That's not surprising. There's a better character in every MOC updates. It will always depend on the buffs and the enemies' weaknesses. Some characters will be good towards a certain boss but worse on the others. The ones who will always be up there are the supports and sustains (and the new characters). So don't ever decide to pull based on the usage rate or "who's meta" cause meta always shifts, MOC changes every time, and powercreep is inevitable. Just pull for whoever you like and you'll never regret them.

For the current Pure Fiction, Fictitious Wordsmithing, Himeko & Herta team boosted by Ruan Mei clears Side 1 with 40K. No idea why Himeko (mind I happened to get her E1 recently) and Herta are that low.
This list was for the previous Pure Fiction, where it split up fire and ice weakness to opposite sides.
I still ended up using both separately for backup since I didn't have better options, but higher invested accounts probably had more focused Argenti and Acheron teams.
@@phoenixlau In the current Fictitious Wordsmithing Pure Fiction, I also use Acheron (E0, GNSW S2 +Pela E6 Pearls/SilverWolf E0 Tutorial/Gepard E1 Trends) on the second side, but could hardly get the remaining ~20K points.
@@stribijev Yeah, current Pure Fiction buffs are kind of ass for Acheron.
If you have heavy investment and Kafka (lightning) you can brute force with Reductio buff, but my Acheron team couldn't hang.
Much easier with follow up units to abuse Whimsicality.

It will be the same for every character tbh. Jingliu and IL use to have around 80-90% usage rate on average before Acheron arrived. Seele used to have around 60-70% usage rate which was way more than Jing yuan before Acheron arrived. Once firefly arrives, every character’s usage rate is going to tank even more.

I think the most broken teams now are dot team(kafka bs) and acheron team bc they're good in both aoe and single target , maybe dhil with sparkle too but not aoe much

I feel like a lot of these aren’t higher up because they haven’t had a rerun in a while and a lot of players are new for penacony marketing
Ngl Xueyi is one of the hardest char to build, it made her to have lower usage than other quantum DPS, but if you do have her built (especially if e6 too) she is the fastest char to break dino while also dealing some blast to surrounding.
Her usage rate isn't just she is hard to build and she really needs E6. By the time she dropped, people either had Seele or QQ as their Quantum invested DPS, especially since Quantum weakness has featured massively since 1.0 for obvious reasons. So you had a new 4-star hyper-carry DPS needing to compete with all that and be seen as worth building anyway. And she isn't even stronger than the others. Any other element doesn't already have a dominant 4-star DPS already, and I think her playing numbers would be much higher, but she got Quantum.

Once they get a rerun you will see the pick rate is much higher since much people will get the E6

It may increase slightly, but fundamentally resources are valuable and unless you REALLY like her design or really dislike Seele and QQ's gameplay there is zero reason to invest into her as she isn't stronger than either of them and people have already invested into one Quantum damage dealer so that is a lot of wasted resources for little added account value. As someone who has a fully trace maxed and levelled Yanqing (he carried me early game) I haven't touched him since Jingliu dropped. Likewise, I built Xueyi when I had a QQ, and with Sparkle's release I can't justify the significant drop in DPS using her in mono-Quantum instead brings, so she has done little but waste a ton of resources having done nothing.

Herta and himeko being so low for pf is crazy. I literally have 40kd every time with this duo even on the new pf.
This was the previous Pure Fiction for Acheron banner. The favored teams were Argenti hyper top half, Acheron bottom half.
Conversely, the buffs weren't really that great for Herta/Himeko, and more importantly weakness had ice and fire separated on opposite sides so the duo got nerfed.
Contrast that to current Pure Fiction with ice/fire top half and follow up attack buffs, where once again the duo are crushing it.

Pela with a 68% is a crime, but because everyone has her, it affects her numbers. She gets pushed down, like Dr. Ratio, because not everyone builds her.
DHIL was good on the first half, not on the second half actually.
9:26 LIES MOC applies debuffs for you so you don't need to use SW with Ratio. Better to run another buffer but Ratio with LOW investment is trash and why run him with Ruan Mei and/OR Sparkle when you can get more value using those units with someone else. Dr. Ratio is better than Alloy so can we stop the cope already. Account investment determines how good he is and if you account is already that good then there are probably better options. I like Dr. Ratio but he is VERY needy and doesn't want to play nice with other FUA if you don't have Ruan MEI and Topaz. Eventually, we are going to have to accept that Ratio is mid especially when Boothill is released.

Average cycles are a worthless metric. Those numbers are for both sides combined and you don't know what they use for the second team.
All i get out of this is that CN is way more smart and based than most of the westerns
playstyle differs from region to region in every single video game.
It would be funny to see Prydwen move Jing Yuan down to A tier over bad performance. Damage and calculations don't mean much when basically everything counters his LL.
