- Brienz is a Swiss German village and municipality on the northern shore of Lake Brienz, at the foot of the Brienzer Rothorn mountain, and in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. Besides the village of Brienz.
The municipality also comprises the towns of Kienholz and Axalp in addition to Brienz. Politically, the municipality is situated in the canton of Bern's Interlaken-Oberhasli administrative district.
