I used to mow grass professionally back in the mid 90's here in Waterloo and 3 times a year we would mow John Deere North East Site {Called it weed mowing} I ran a 4620 with a MX10 3 point mower and the boss and I would run a 7810 with a I think they were called a 2018 brush hog, just like your running , a 20 foot brush cutter. It was a lot of fun mowing that unfamiliar ground. Especially that 4620. I had 5 suitcase weights on the front but with that heavy 10 foot 3 point mower she still got a little light in the nose when pulling up some hills :) Granted it only used the bottom 2 points of the 3 point and had casters on the back to carry it. it was a nice little match up. worst part was it was rigid 10 foot. would have liked it to have at least 1 hinge in it but...... Thanks for sharing :)
More then likely they are getting a good price for the lime. I work in a quarry and a lot of times are prices very for lime depending on demand and how much we are making.
wheres the mowing video?? lots of neat video on equipment and the farm, not much at all on mowing. Im in alabama with old small tractor 4440 pulling mx10 john deere and loader on tractor. Dont mow often but when i do its weeds 5ft tall and mostly shrubs and lotsa trees 5"diameter and really close together about 11ft tall. Only mow those areas maybe 6 yrs or more between cuttings. Loader bucket will push everything down so it doesnt damage tractor and really sharp blades on mower let me move at about 6mph. Im in north alabama, 65inches of rain here most years or more so we have lotsa brush and surprise critters and deer, coyotes, rabbits in the brush,,,thanks for video
Why get the lime already? Can't spread it until after harvest anyway. We always scrape the stalks off with the backhoe so they don't get in the spreader truck. I've never seen anyone mow corn down for lime
We like it hauled now because as soon as the corn gets harvested it can be spread. Don’t have to worry about hauling lime during harvest or waiting on it to get there before chiseling the field
You all have way better equipment then me so not knocking you on taking the dual . I did have a friendly mild chuckle with you and that hill though. Obviously your from the Mid West or somewhere predominately flat at least. I get nervous on some hills with tractors where Im at for sure; but these are like real hills and at times 1 error means a straight or close to 90 degree drop off. To top it off the tractors are usually too small for the loads and that adds another issue lol. Your video sure makes me miss working on a “big time” farm verses my smaller scale operation I have now. Good content keep it up
A farmer would know...but wonder what goes across a "city slickerz" synapses when they might drive by those fields with the "lime divot" in 'em...maybe wonderin' what special "juice" that mower was sippin' when they "got sideways"...lol...
my cousin has a waste dump for wind turbines next to him, blades, bodies, towers, about 40 acres piled 15 feet high, they can't dispose of them, toxic waste he's told
They can destruct them but someone needs to pay for that. This is the rotten part of the windmill deals. You buy them an mass but nobody demands you reserved money for destruction. Toxic.. not really . Only the waste products have no destination for other products yet. See here its a moneymaking deal. The cheapest way is to pile them up in a landfill.
I don't know were you are located at but I've done some bush hogging this year and there seems to be a lot of thistle I think it is this year. You were saying about the weed like trees. Atleast it mows down easy, lol. Good work brother!!
I'm in no way a farmer so I'm a bit confused here why exactly you mowing the corn? I caught that you dumping lime and guessing that lime is for the specific field your in is lime cheaper now then what it would be after harvest?
Hello. Could you help me financially expand my project related to agriculture? I want to buy the equipment necessary for preparing livestock feed and cultivating the land.
Why didn't he clean the mower deck off ? Are you kidding , that stuff will be on there when it goes to the junk yard . Farmers are brutal on there stuff ...
Why the hell do you take a bush hole through a cornfield and mowing it down and so many farmers can use that corn the feed cattle and help the economy but here you go wasting it what the hell
Brother is this generation and generation of hard work to come to this?
Bel video. Bravo. Bei mezzi.

Good jop bro 😎 ❤️
New subscriber. Love the content and your personality. May God bless you Mitch much success.
Great video the best of the best 👌 awesome work bud
first time watcher of your channel...thanks for the great footage and narration! I enjoyed the video a lot!
With the cost of seed, fertilizers and pesticides why would you not wait until after harvest to take the lime?
More then likely they are getting a good price for the lime. I work in a quarry and a lot of times are prices very for lime depending on demand and how much we are making.
Plus with the amount of corn he cut down was more then likely less then $30 worth of corn.
Can't even harvest here in MS got so much rain it's a mud bog and the corns starting to mold
Good job on the footage and editing, very nice farm, looking forward to harvest videos!
Did your farm start with Deere and then switch to Ih. What eguipment has the farm had over the Years would make a good video
Yes, years ago we were John Deere and then over the years we went with IH

What part of the country are you from .I know some wendling people.they are farmers and truckers.they have US mail contracts too.
I personally believe you ought to be cleaning the top of that batwing a lot more that way it'll keep it from rusting
Isn’t cleaning part of preventative maintenance!??
@@michaeld53 yes it is I know for a fact been there and done that many years
What state is your farm in? Here in south central Kansas I thought in extreme conditions and with special permission. C r p grass could be feed!
In Illinois you cannot bale CRP
Great video!
bonjour mon ami le fermier des usa! mais pourquoi vous broyé le corn?????
Man I love that drone shot in the beginning what a beautiful piece of land !!! I'm in the north east and we farm sod
Muy buen video amigo saludos desde México

Good footage! After owning a batwing there’s no going back
You can bale CRP after September 1

Nice property
Yep !
Did you Eve mow it I just seen the pto not engaged and you backing in to it ?
what kind of drone you use its clear
my cousin has a waste dump for wind turbines next to him, blades, bodies, towers, about 40 acres piled 15 feet high, they can't dispose of them, toxic waste he's told
That is sad! You would think that we would use recyclable materials in wind turbines the way they are pushing them. They kill migratory birds too.
Green energy huh!
They can destruct them but someone needs to pay for that.

Surely would have a nieghbor that used silage for feeding it would seem
I like the 4850,had one
Where at in Central Illinois are yall?
East central, Champaign county
@@WendlingFarms I lived in Springfield area for 16 years

Isn't there anywhere else to put the lime instead of mowing the corn down 🤔🤔🤷
In some spots yes, others no
Why didn't he clean the mower deck off ? Are you kidding , that stuff will be on there when it goes to the junk yard . Farmers are brutal on there stuff ...
Love video tho
Why plant if ur going to mow it. Harvest first give him the room to maneuver
What would he harvest? There are really no harvestable ears of corn at that point.
I don’t understand why the lime couldn’t wait until the corn was harvested.
I' m joking so don't take it the wrong way. You are a flat land farmer that ditch in nothing. Nice to see your area and crops.
Love 💗 you from India
Really cool video if it ain't red leave it in the shed
So tell me why was the corn mowed down??!!
What brand of headsets do you use
BlueParrott
Do you wash your equipment?
According to that mower, NO
Super 😘
Where you all located
East central IL
❤❤❤
Wow , that must have been hard to mow down. Sorry 😞
hey send some rain to california plzzzzzzz
Sorry, i dont understand why u mowing down corn? I cant understand this because im from germany :D
Mowed it because we needed a spot in the field to dump lime. The lime will be spread in the fall after the crop is harvested!
@@WendlingFarms ah okay, thats clue. thanks for the explanation mate
Dump it on road right of way.
That looks like a county road.
I would just have chopped it and fed it to the cows and pigs !
E lindo contratada pra trabalhar vc seita sou 🇧🇷🇺🇸
I not understand why cutting down the corn in side, just of side was enough. 👎
You need Upgrades
Why are mowing your corn
Дороги асфальтированные
Maybe dont plant that area next time, called thinking ahead..
Нах так делать?
That is not step At all come up north
An awful lot of work and expense for NO PAYOUT!
