I highly support this! Hope Figma introduces more manual animating tools(not slide transitions) and does not turn out to be like another money-grabbing design platform.
figma made this as a way for product managers and product designers to better present their work to stakeholders, trust me its not an alternative for powerpoint or google slides
@@hachemimouhamed2676ultimately it’s still a tool for you to present your deck, so no matter what it’s intended for, it can still be used as an alternative
This is amzing. I was already using figma for making slides and pitch deck for exporting. There are some feature still missing, hope they will be integrated soon too
It's just missing charts and graphs. If I have to do them with shapes by hand, my team won't be able use or edit them. I'd love to move away from powerpoint, but without graphs We can't incorporate it.
Will you be able to create your own custom templates? And, will there ever be an export to .ppt option? We love working within Figma, but sadly larger clients always need a ppt version of their decks.
I like that you seem to have a magic-move equivalent, we frequently need to animate items between slides. Is there a 'outline view' like Powerpoint, e.g. some way to quickly get a lot of text content into Figma?
How to create your own theme/template that match your company's brand? Is it tool just for design team or it can be shared to marketing and sales with branded template?
I am a film maker who pitches all the time. I’d love the idea of a Figma Slides style approach that is focussed not just on words or products, but also rich imagery, gifs, video embeds, galleries, etc. And that can be scaled for tablet and cell phone… (hello Readymag). Any chance..?
wellllll adding animation without the option to customise them as we canin figma is a bit weird and disappointing. Hope this will be updated soon, since then I will keep using figma for prototyped presentations
Figma's updates and video tutorials are great, but the audio can be quite distracting. It might be easier for viewers to concentrate if the narration is done naturally, rather than reading from a script. If the audio is AI-generated, having a human speaker could improve the experience. Thank you. 🤓💯🙏
This is the big question. Clients may not want to bother with it and old habits of just having everything as a PPT hasn’t changed in decades. It could be better than everything out there but it’s now another tool and there are info security concerns too. And if you work with a lot of non-designers who all are more in tune with PPT, what are you gonna do? As much as I wish there was something do dethrone the pain that PPT is, it’s part of MS ecosystem and people just know and accept it. Seeing the this is a new mode entirely, it’s gonna be behind a paywall just like FigJam was. They need to make this worth the cost vs just having prototypes built in Figma standard as a presentation and/or slide software already paid for.
We don’t need slides, we all have PowerPoint for this stuff. I, and my team, would rather see a little effort in making less choppy prototypes. It’s getting worse by the day, it’s extremely unreliable and embarrassing.
Just another feature that's gonna be priced separately by some greedy seat concept, the evil is already revealed in the Beta description. Greed is going to be Figma's downfall. Mark my words. Figjam is a terrible "thing" that acts and looks like software for toddlers, at least Slides doesn't feel like it's made from the same immature mold, although it's awfully flimsy. Brownie points for the component integration with variant controls retained in Slides, but there's no way to add local DS components like in Figma. All I get is styles.
I highly support this! Hope Figma introduces more manual animating tools(not slide transitions) and does not turn out to be like another money-grabbing design platform.
Video and 3D elements would be a massive win as well for presenting architecture presentations!
We gave Google slides enough time to rethink things and make life easier. Instant Switch
couldn't agree more ;'))
figma made this as a way for product managers and product designers to better present their work to stakeholders, trust me its not an alternative for powerpoint or google slides
More than enough time, it's actually kind of insulting really lol
@@hachemimouhamed2676ultimately it’s still a tool for you to present your deck, so no matter what it’s intended for, it can still be used as an alternative
You'll also rethink when you have to start paying for it
All these time creating slides on figma did not go in vain, thank you figma!!
This is super exciting!!! Well done, Figma team ✨
I always use Figma for slides, hope to see Figma for print soon
If we are able to export this out in pptx format then we golden!
Interactive prototypes embedded into the deck is a game changer. I've been trying to hack this into my presentations for a while now.
Extremely easy to move existing slides over. Just copy paste the Frames and done! So awesome!
best text rewriter I've ever seen. congrats, Figma team!
I'm very fascinated, this will make life easier. Thank you Figma!!!!
This is quite exciting. Can't wait to use it

Man this is amazing. Can't wait to try this out. Well done!
Lovely, looking forward to using this. Great job!
ace, i just made 2 large presentations in figma so will be keen to give this a go next time!
Magnificent ! Thank you so much !
This is exciting! Can't wait to try this. ❤
This is great for ideation, Congratulations Figma
Can't wait to use it !
Nice move, used figma for presentation even before this
Now this is what i am hyped about !
Can't wait to try this out! ☀
Sounds AMAZING. Can I see the history of the people who saw my deck?
move aside, Google Slides and Microsoft PPT!
When companies have licenses for g suite or office suite already this isn't ever gonna happen
Nice update. It would be nice to export in pptx format.
An absolute dream come true!!!
Love me some Flides!

How are u going to export to ppt when ppt doesn’t even have features that Figma has?
Stoked!
Wow. This is laudable!!!!
useful video 👍🏻
Excited to try this out!
I like that you seem to have a magic-move equivalent, we frequently need to animate items between slides. Is there a 'outline view' like Powerpoint, e.g. some way to quickly get a lot of text content into Figma?
Flides is the superior name 💯
If you could export these to PPT it would be a game changer

Very cool! One question though: Will this support GIF and video formats as well?
It supports GIFs just like normal Figma 😊
Nice!
Exciting
Canvas and Google Slides at the moment : 👁️👁️😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
A dream come true 😢❤
All I ever wanted
Hopefully this is free like Google slides. So that any members from the team can also create or edit contents easily.
Really hope there’s an option to export to PDF to share with clients after the meeting etc.
Good news, yes there's an option to export your slides to PDF.
Yes, you can export the slide desk as PDF. Click on the Figma icon on the top-left corner --> File --> Export all slides to PDF.
how I can add more template style to my deck?

Maybe is just me, but I didnt see the animacion tool for single objetcs on the slide...
I’m signing the Petition for Flydes.

are you able to export the slide deck to PDF/PPT/keynote?
Hi, you can export the slide desk as PDF. Click on the Figma icon on the top-left corner --> File --> Export all slides to PDF.
not including figma's plugins is the biggest drawback ever, like the thing that makes figma distinguish from others is the plugins!!!
Would we be able to create our own brand deck templates ?
Hope this finally kills PPT... im so done working on presentations in that app
That will never happen.
Is it normal that I don't have the "new slide deck" in the homepage ( I don't know where to access it too)
ps. great work to all the team!!
It's rolling out over the next few hours so you should see it soon!
@@W3057815 Exciting news! Thank you!!
Wow, :D
Can I import a ppt and turn it into figma slides?
why can't we embed video urls? e.g. youtube
Time to switch!
YEESSS
I can’t see the option to add presenter notes. How do I toggle it?
Click the handle above the toolbar while in slide view. It should pop up
Where’s export button?
I see export in the properties panel when I toggle from slide mode to design mode in the tool bar
Should figma, figjam, figdes be split into separate apps?

But it can't make an automatic ppt based on a word document
Can the deck be viewed by people without figma?

Not for long.
@@misscalee612 we shall see but other deck building software has yet to dethrone PowerPoint.
Don’t get me wrong, I hope it gets dethroned!
should be flides
Add the ability to embed these slides into a website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Figma + canva = Figma slides
They still didn’t fix the layer panel’s nested view. 😢
Flide into my DMs
Wait a Figma polygraph
Hopefully not another bait and switch like dev mode. Offer for free at first, then charge $5/seat.
They have been clear that it will be a paid product in the future.
Flides
Flides is far more better and concise name
All we wanted was speaker notes in Figma. Now they bring out a separate feature that you'll have to pay for in the future. Can't see it catching on
Get me more ai
The narrator definitely sounds AI generated 🤔
Google slides is awful but when somethings free, what do you expect. Figma Slides will be $10/month in no time
