When I was a teenager, I collected these cards and letters from both SW, and AM. I had some really unusual ones. One letter read: “Revolutionary greetings to you from The Voice Of Nicaragua .” And at the end: “ Homeland or Death - We will win!” “The duty of every revolutionary is to make the revolution .” (Cuba has something similar). I had some cool personal letters from Engineers of some small stations, and invitations to visit them. Many of the Socialist countries also gave out a lot of trinkets, and stuff. Many of the bigger stations gave out bumper stickers, pennants, and the like. It was a blast❗️ I wrote to Georges Collinete , who, at the time , hosted a show “The Sound Of Soul” on VOA. I told him I really enjoyed his show “ even though I was a white teenager in St.Louis.” I got a hand signed photo of him. On the back, read: To Jeff, my white teenager friend in St.Louis”. I submitted a reception report to R. Romania International and got a QSL card in the mail.
