I wonder if that was the scraping sound you said you heard on the white car .Maybe those arms are like that for a reason?Just a thought .Take care bud .
Possible but I don't think so unless it was causing something like the ball joint to bind...I will investigate it to be sure though once Spring rolls around!
You can get them set up backwards but they don't feel quite right - distance piece is too hard to squeeze in and they feel hard to work with. I messed around with them to see if you could! I believe they are the same part number on the older cars and somewhere down the line they became slightly different lengths - dont quote me on that though!
cheftush I think I was talking rubbish before - it sounds like they are different lengths and when they changed ball joint design they became the same part # - left rear and right front are the same and also right rear left front. Cant imagine that if you drive around with nothing other than rust holding a stub axle in it would make much odds!
The old stuff is just better in many ways, but even it is still pretty pricey. Fun work on the front suspension.
I have never seen control arms like that...Thanks for sharing
My pleasure, Thanks!
Looking good. Fun to see it all coming clean.
Interesting control arm design
Pretty Simple eh Zig?
nice vice
an oldie but a goodie. I still get vice envy when I watch other guys channels though :-)

Im going to have to check my 60 just to be sure I didn't screw them up. I wonder what kind of effect it would have if I did...
