Jesus, as a mendicant preacher, believed in pursuing spiritual ideals and that most money should be donated to people experiencing poverty. This continued with his brother James. However, this is challenging in the world we live in today.
Yes. That's why we think it's very important for Christians to think about how to have a Biblical retirement in our modern age. It should be about more than just having fun after you retire from your career. Preparing well financially for retirement can open up opportunities to expand God's Kingdom without the need to worry about how your needs will be met.
Assuming you're referring to Indigenous Advance Ministries (IAM) account(s) being closed by Bank of America (BofA), it was closed because IAM claimed BofA didn't want them as a customer due to their Christian values but BofA claims it wasn't due to IAM's Christian beliefs. Regardless, we would never recommend any Christian work with BofA nor any of the other large banks. Instead, we'd recommend a local Credit Union or a regional bank as most do not play politics like the giant banks, i.e. BofA, Wells Fargo, Chase, etc. Also, none of the large banks pass our BRI screens so we don't use them as a retail customer nor do we invest in them.
Great discussion guys. It's timely information for me. You gave me some direction and some things to consider. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!

I just saw a report on Christians having to their bank accounts cancelled. Do you recommend any banks outside of the country?

Excellent!! Great advice even for the "Professional Volunteer" in the 'retirement years.'
Man I don't want to work anymore
