    Love the idea of combining quilting and crochet. Easy to follow video but it's a bit hard to see with the white yarn and white fabric, more contrast would be nice like in video #1 where you used white yarn on red fabric.

    thank you for the closed captioning. there are lots of us deaf folks who cant enjoy videos because they either don't have cc or its so baddly done it makes no sense

    In love with this blanket. I had one question and I hope you can answer it for me :) I want to make a fusion blanket similar to this but in a nautical theme for my son. I feel like this particular crochet border is to feminine for my blanket. What advice would you give for a different style border?

      If it were me, I would do a filet crochet border, which is more square. You can fill in the blocks however you’d like, or leave them open to create a netting effect. After all, sailors were the ones who created nets, so I think it would apply to a nautical theme really well. 🙂 You could also do two rounds of chain stitched loops, about 7 - 9 chains per loop, to create loops around the squares, and then whip stitch the blocks together. That would also create a nice, netting effect between the squares.
