That's completely fair! Sometimes I cross my wires in my scripts and will mis-write a phrase--especially when it's one I repeat over and over. My apologies!
Hey Matias, Josh here. At the time I didn't know that's how tree and tainted worked together. I for sure would have done it had I known. It also didn't help that I was super tired and had already played a lot games that day. It was a super fun game though even though we made one huge mistake.
Understandable. Reading Tree of Perdition, I would not have expected it to be a life gain/life loss effect, because it specifically says "exchange." Not a very common occurence in MtG, and one that I'm sure a lot of players would probably overlook. I know I would have.
I've been playing for roughly a year, and I get down on myself when I make mistakes or misinterpret cards...but I find it reassuring when long-time players still miss triggers or need time to resolve things.
2 questions 1/ why you destroy all lands? 2/how you play your commander with Asfortold, and more then that you pay 4 with asfortold and 2 with artefacts,is it right with rules????
1: they are artifacts! "Thanks" to the Lattice (That's why the Chasm could be targeted and destroyed by Tear) 2: As Foretold does not care where is the card when you cast it. It can be in hand, command zone, graveyard, library, you just have to be able to cast it from there. And of course it does not count the commander tax.
Thanks for the fun video! QUESTION: How did Devin (playing Tawnos) *flash* in artifacts like Thran Dynamo & Nevinyrral's Disk, which breaks the Timing Rules Reminder text on Emry herself? Per the Oracle clarification: "You must follow the normal timing permissions and restrictions for the target artifact card. Unless it has flash, you’ll most likely only be able to cast it during your main phase while the stack is empty. (2019-10-04)" I realize that Devin played the Tawnos deck cold, but was there another card in play that was allowing Emry to FLASH out artifacts (as the narrator states?). Please check the Oracle ruling quoted above & please help us faithful viewers understand what was going on there. Thanks! And please keep posting the FUN videos! :)
I’m really impressed with Devin’s skill. I think artifact decks are extremely difficult to pilot and the fact that he’d basically never seen the deck is crazy. I was still cheering for Lacivita though because Grixis
Matt: Josh drops a tapped Temple of ...
I see what you did there
I thought my earbuds messed up there
Shame we missed that! It was still a super fun game and glad you guys found a way to upload the video.
7:00 Authority of Consuls doesnt have a trigger so creatures enter tapped. That's a static ability.
The trigger is just the life gain.

@@TheCommanderGuys all good :)
The "second game" felt very much like the olds cards that ask you to start a sub game of magic within the actual game. 🤔😅
I don't understand why didn't josh use the tree, what was he waiting, for other players to be able to respond his combo?

The second part of the game was awesome :P Nice one! Even with the major mistakes.
Great game great learning experience 👍
Not my cleanest game and I didn’t realize that for the gearhulk at the time! But I remember that was a very fun game! And from like 3+ months ago!
Oh boy the brave sapphire medallion in the 3 color deck
Okay the temple joke got me
Tawnos Deck really went Chaos Mode there.
Another small mistake, Gearhulk can’t cast sorceries, such as River’s Rebuke

12:00 that isn't true since Josh can make him lose before the mycosynth lattice hits the board...
Was about to ask this. Yea I read it as tree could still go off while lattice was still on the stack
Tapped temple of... silence lmao
I kinda want to make a Kess Deck, but I don't want to make it a one shot Consultation deck.
