I have watch this video again and again over the years, at least seven years. Thank you for choreographing such a beautiful, beautiful nightclub two step.
Smooth like butter. Nice to see a couple that actually dances to the music and sticks to a single dance type the whole song. There is more talent here than in 95% of the "how to dance" videos I've seen.
They are crowd "pleasers" too, They both LOVE the ART and the DANCE. They reminded me of all the moves I have forgotten over the past 5 years - THANKS!
A lovely, technical, well performed dance w/techniques imported from WCS, Hustle, Rumba, etc. Love this Reverse Open to Tandem LTs 0:33, RT then Telemarks 0:53, Open to Wrap - Release - Tandem Hip Checks 1:02, Rotating Box 1:18, Leg Sweep Sequence 1:48, Touch Open to Hip Checks 2:14, ++++
Thanks Derek! Very kind of you to say that. We did another one last year and think we did a better job of connecting and following momentum. Plus we tried some lifts :) ... th-cam.com/video/4t2nu8n7WPs/w-d-xo.html
Is there a name for the steps / hold position at the very beginning of the dance? I’m trying to learn more NC2S and those steps are gorgeous. Absolutely stunning dance, I’m so glad I found the video!
They actually dance -- most NC2 now a days is pattern dancing with music that is too fast. DJ's need to play music like this at slower BPMs so couples can actually dance. Within the quick quick slow motion, notice the elegance of each slow beat as they complete the step. The beauty of NC2 is the final slow step that is longer and smoother than other dances. I would add a little bit of sway after each slow where it looks like the couple is arcing a bit
Guys, that was a beautiful dance. I hope you won't mind if I steal some of your moves. That is a Rumba like dance to music that isn't Latin. Thanks for such a great performance.
Thanks Jeff! Looking back on this one we were still learning the dance, and of course we used every move we could find on youtube. We got most of these from Michael Kiehm.
@@wiebek5 Yeah Ken, my wife and I watch a lot of Michael Kiehms videos. We've added quite a few moves and patterns of his to our repertoire. We've watched several of yours, as well, and have taken a few moves from you two also.

Yes, the steps came from a Michael Khiem video we had. He is a great source of night club 2 material.
That was lovely.
beautiful

Well said!. Music today sometimes too fast to express the fluidity and grace of NC2S!
Very nice!
