I’ll start with the voice, I’m not fully sure how you get it but I have another video where I cover Floyd the barber and there was some discussion about the voice in the comments so that might be helpful. Now it’s hard to answer your second question because I don’t actually use a mixer. My guitar sound came out of a fender mustang amp which I unfortunately forgot the setting I used on it, and my voice just came out of a cheap fender champion amp. One thing I would recommend though is to really make sure your vocals aren’t overly loud or that can really ruin your sound.

Spot ON cover. Always room for improvement and I would just listen to Kurt in that sense and play with it a little in a way that represents who YOU are from this point on since you have the essence down.
