The roll bars pop up about 15 inches and the seat belt fastens and holds you down when it detects any type of crash ... Volvo makes some of the most safest cars in the world and they have saved lives of millions.
You know what's better than being safe in a car crash? Having a car that's agile and balanced properly so that you can avoid the crash. And that's why I drive a Peugeot over any other car.

Also I would love to see this statistic proving these fatalities being caused by guardrails. Vehicles roll over by striking something, being flipped by another vehicle, clipping the kerb and trying to react to that.
Colt Fox So you're from the U.S. Well as shown from the video this is a U.K. based show, where they're showing vehicle from the U.K. Guardrails here have an end cap and even if they're angled and didn't have an end cap the rail collapses under the weight of most modern vehicles (1990+) In the U.S. the people that have died from rollovers aren't caused by the rails, they're caused by the deep verges on either side, there it is common for a vehicle to roll but still not to the extent as shown in the video, nobody is going to hit a ramp that is designed to flip a car on the public roads...

The thing is that when it unfortunately does happen in real life, the object is never going to be designed to flip a vehicle. As a result of that, vehicle will not achieve the same height as the vehicle did in the video.
Toss pot car show . Do the test with a porch beatle with the hoops that jump up .itl be fkt just the same . Are thay saying the ppl in a bm soft top or a enything soft top . Will be fine , bullshit .
@jhhilton yeah i totally agree with that.. i have a 2 litre one, it's slightly wider, longer wheel base, thicker tyres and hold the road very well indeed.. i have also never come close to rolling it.. and yes i have at times driven it like it's a rally car (which btw it is good for.. gotta love those italians at Pinin Farina)... but the simple lesson is.. don't drive like a twat and don't panic with sharp steering if the worst happens. I think alot of the time it is..know thy car!
