This is just a glimpse into the past 6 months with Wynn. I'm so amazed by how strong you are. Every day with you is something to be celebrated. I'm so honored to be your Mommy.
When your heart defect was first diagnosed, I mourned the loss of the life I had envisioned for you, and I was so scared of losing you or seeing you in pain. But seeing how fearless you are, and how excited you get when you learn something new, feels so much bigger because of it.
With how many doctors warned me that you might not make it, it feels like we cheated fate somehow and every day is extra special.
also, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE MAMAS WHO'VE TAUGHT ME EVERYTHING. I LOVE YOU! ESPECIALLY ALL THE MEDICAL AND SPECIAL NEEDS MAMAS - YOU ARE INCREDIBLE!
