Betting she never expected that her trombone playing would ever get her attention. It never got any of our bone players attention in high school when I learned to play trumpet. Piano player has the longest fingers I have ever seen, and that is PERFECT for playing the trumpet, or the bass as I have seen him in Girl From Ipanima, also another great cover. So, the question now is when are you taking it out on the road? Would love to see you in Canada!

Here, imagine some of the abundant "Likes" of two new fans I've sent your way. One of them is nearly 80; the other is nearly 85; and you guys made their day. (They're from a generation that knows exactly how these songs should be performed, and they think you're Ace. One of them used to sing at a lounge in the evenings to make some extra money, too. They both formed quite a lot of impromptu choirs with their brothers, when they were tiny. The one who didn't sing at a lounge sang at a bar when she was five. Dad took her along with him, often, and she stood on the counter and sang to the pub when he did. Danny Boy, I think ... Oh, and once, in a little town down the end of the road from Nowhere, she also told everyone it was her birthday when they had one of their "concerts", and people wanted to know why they were singing, so everyone went home to go fetch a little bit of something, and by the middle of the night the whole town was having a party. It wasn't her birthday, but never mind.)
Mariel makes me reconsider my opinion of bone players (well, other than Trombone Shorty). Having spent a number of years in the sax section in front of the trombone section, let's just say they do things with their spit valves that should just not be allowed! Oh, and great cover. More!
