What I enjoy about this snare line (and the rest of the line too, but particularly the snares) is not just the beautiful stick height & stroke uniformity, but the left hand / wrist pivot point position (in latitude/longitude & elevation). It's a beautiful thing to see this many snares rotating that left hand from the same exact rotate point, resulting in beautifully uniform stick control and really just beautiful drumming. Bravo Zulo, Troopers!

@@the5as1marchingarts That's incredible uniformity all around, but again, that left hand standardization is phenomenal. Each player is rotating from the exact same rotation point and with the same style. Really beautiful work. To me, the artistry these drummers are demonstrating should be videotaped in hi-resolution and saved in the National Archives as "how snare drumming should be done".

What was the rationale?

In all my experiences marching & watching corps, I don't remember seeing or even hearing from others how a judge really f***ed up a set or made someone drop or tick cause they had to get around them. Not saying it doesn't happen, but the judges are SUPER trained & many of them have 20-40 yrs of experience.
