The backpack/carrying case needs a fold out back support for once the bird is ready to fly, you can lounge back and kick your legs up and fly. Maybe add a beer cooler on the side?
The camera is a little better on the P4p but I'm still glad I went with the mavic. It's so easy to take everywhere and it gets far better video than my p3s. I'm extremely satisfied with my Mavic pro. It hasn't stopped impressing me yet. Every time I fly it I love it more and more. Incredible piece of equipment!!

I guess to me, if any craft with an automatic return home function can bring my craft back automatically and save me a thousand bucks and gets it within a couple feet of where I am/where it left is an absolute success. No disappointments here, that is awesome.
What did you use for you video. A gopro or something different. Please comment back. I have a dji phantom pro + would like some good videos of it. When it is near me. The audio from the mic sounds pretty good

Dustin, did you notice that before it landed each time it thought it was still 10 or so feet in the air? Then when it completes the landing only then does it go to 0.0ft. I wonder if this could be affecting the precision landing and the way it was still trying to go towards it's mark even as it was touching the ground. It could be that the drone thinks it has more time to correct the landing when in reality it does not.

You should use a tripod and a camera for your first camera instead of fpv because its really hard to concentrate when the edges are bowing like crazy, and i honestly feel like it ruins the review
Dustin, I would like to request that when you do the range test that you could do it from one of the parks or where ever level area you prefer. The reason I ask is that when you do a range test off the side of the mountain it's not really a real world range test. Very few peeps will be flying their drones off the side of a mountain so we would like to know what to expect real world before we buy. Same with the Mavic Pro, it would be great if when you get your new replacement Mavic Pro if you could do a real world range test with it also. Great Videos! How about the Simtoo reviews part 2 / 3. I know this DJI is a good drone, but the price is high. I ride dirt bike / enduro and what to have a follow me drone, but so far the Simtoo dont give you a good camera drone. Do you know some other drones with camera and this follow me mode. DJI Go 4 app update...May 27. Phantom 4 Pro...Be cautious... my update changed the manual controls...It was windy, so brought it home....didn't like where it was landing, so took manual control and the Up control was now Forward! Crashed into rocks immediately! Minor damage...2 broken props and 1 prop guard...check settings before you fly!

D i was just looking at ur video and i noticed something u SHOULD not do and u should advise every body else not too do. Dont ever ever do a compass calibration with a steel watch on your wrist. I didnt notice it until u shook your wrist. I said to my self D probably for got he had that watch on his wrist calibrating the quad . Happened to me one time. Ive put it in my memory bank to always look at my wrist. Because im a watch freak and i where my watches everday . they like a part of me so when i go to fly i have to remind my self watch watch watch.Check left arm . its grained in my memory. Bank auto now. I just wanted u and every body. To always be reminded that watch is a no. While calibrating. Thats all. Dont want nobody quad flying the hell off in a messed up direction. A person was not expecting on take off.

At least they land within 3-6ft lol. the way point features are nice. would love to see if you can set them via the map rather then fly to each like the P3
Even though you recorded in 4K, your video on TH-cam was only 1080P. Uploading 4K video takes forever. It also takes a very powerful computer to edit it. Additionally, I would hazard to guess that most people do not have anything in their home which can display 4K. My computer monitor maxes out at 1080P, as does my TV. I suppose if you have a UHD monitor or TV that can do 4K, you will be able to see the difference. Of course, the video looks excellent, and those purple tree were very nice in both video and still pictures. You might want to pre-cache your maps at the highest resolution you want to use, in order to be able to zoom in when you are at the field. One of the nice things about using the Litchi app is that you can do your waypoint mission at the Litchi site, then upload it to your system to use later. Well, I got thru all 50+ minutes of the review, so now its time to eat lunch and then go out for a bike ride. Mahalo!

Well, I could try watching it at 4K, but don't think it would make a difference since my computer monitor maxes out at 1080P. I was looking at 4K computer monitors, and a 22-24" model is over $400! I saw some higher end ones over $1000. Looks like I'll be waiting for some cheaper models to come out.

@@DustinDunnill I'm looking to upgrade to my next level drone. I can't afford the really expensive ones. So I'm looking at the k911 drone. But I'm not sure if it's worth it. I started out with the e88 and the KK1 35 $40 drones. Right now I found the k911 for 112 with the 360° laser avoidance system GPS two batteries 1200 m range 17 to 20 minute flight time. Normally the k911 with the 360° avoidance is $$155 so I think getting it with the 360 for 112 is a good deal. But again I'm not the expert on drones so I would like your opinion if you don't mind.
I haven't tested that one. I'd honestly try to find a good used DJI Mini 1st gen. You should be able to find one for around $200. No obstacle avoidance but if you've learned on a few drones you won't need it and your money is going into great quality 🍻

Great videos! I’ve read reviews of DJI about their horrible customer service. Perhaps the company has grown too fast and their customer service is playing catch up? Problems seem to arise around warranty claims being denied. That being said, if flyers don’t follow the QC directions the possibility for crashes is increased. DJI is the leader in this technology and their company has a 20 billion dollar valuation. Can you comment about DJI’s warranty help, if you know anything? Thanks for your info! Ed from Lancaster CA.

I have the 10.5 iPad Pro. Had to order a $12 extension off Amazon. It will go in without the extension but VERY VERY tight to the point it scares me that it would break.
It looks ideal, apart from the little software glitches. One thing that someone else has noticed is jellow when flying in reverse at 4k, so that might be worth trying. After all, we can't have a perfect drone can we? ;)
The Mavic Pro and phantom dji drones do the precision landing perfect now since you did this video my Mavic Pro lands with absolute pin point accuracy. I think dji updated something.
So true. Wanna make them worse? Attach the Lume Cube mounts with Lume Cubes on them and fly in Sport mode. Stress cracks up to the hull. On mine, the legs are covered in Gorilla tape. Doesn't look that bad as it's the obsidian edition, but I think the resale value went way down.
Feels like it's time to upgrade from the phantom 2. Though I also want a 4k TV and some new HiFi gear + I just built a new computer. Damnit, why do all my hobbies have to be so expensive? lol
Can anyone please tell me if the Phantom 4 Pro has the ability to come back to the controller by using home lock in case I am moving during piloting,, ( like on the boat for example ) so meaning my starting and current position have changed.. thanks a lot

I'm pretty sure you didn't even raise the landing gear..I'm pretty sure they swing up so they are out of the way of the gimbal...

It may be a good idea to remove it but I'm not sure it's entirely necessary for a stainless steel watch.

@@DustinDunnill I'm looking to upgrade to my next level drone. I can't afford the really expensive ones. So I'm looking at the k911 drone. But I'm not sure if it's worth it. I started out with the e88 and the KK1 35 $40 drones. Right now I found the k911 for 112 with the 360° laser avoidance system GPS two batteries 1200 m range 17 to 20 minute flight time. Normally the k911 with the 360° avoidance is $$155 so I think getting it with the 360 for 112 is a good deal. But again I'm not the expert on drones so I would like your opinion if you don't mind.
I haven't tested that one. I'd honestly try to find a good used DJI Mini 1st gen. You should be able to find one for around $200. No obstacle avoidance but if you've learned on a few drones you won't need it and your money is going into great quality 🍻

Great videos! I’ve read reviews of DJI about their horrible customer service. Perhaps the company has grown too fast and their customer service is playing catch up? Problems seem to arise around warranty claims being denied. That being said, if flyers don’t follow the QC directions the possibility for crashes is increased. DJI is the leader in this technology and their company has a 20 billion dollar valuation. Can you comment about DJI’s warranty help, if you know anything? Thanks for your info! Ed from Lancaster CA.

What size of screen are you using I’ve got the iPad 2017 9.7 and I can just slide it in and get one click on the the clamp. Do you think it’s to big ?

I have the 10.5 iPad Pro. Had to order a $12 extension off Amazon. It will go in without the extension but VERY VERY tight to the point it scares me that it would break.

It looks ideal, apart from the little software glitches.
One thing that someone else has noticed is jellow when flying in reverse at 4k, so that might be worth trying. After all, we can't have a perfect drone can we? ;)

The Mavic Pro and phantom dji drones do the precision landing perfect now since you did this video my Mavic Pro lands with absolute pin point accuracy. I think dji updated something.
They do have much better accuracy now. I experience spot on landings if I select "precision" when I take off ☺️👍

Sport mode in a Phantom 4 Pro = Stress cracks. Ask me how I know. Ugh.....
So true. Wanna make them worse? Attach the Lume Cube mounts with Lume Cubes on them and fly in Sport mode. Stress cracks up to the hull. On mine, the legs are covered in Gorilla tape. Doesn't look that bad as it's the obsidian edition, but I think the resale value went way down.
Feels like it's time to upgrade from the phantom 2. Though I also want a 4k TV and some new HiFi gear + I just built a new computer. Damnit, why do all my hobbies have to be so expensive? lol

i would say you sensors are off. 12 videos watched in a day, all land on H pad within 2 inches and the height on the drone are 100% right.

Can anyone please tell me if the Phantom 4 Pro has the ability to come back to the controller by using home lock in case I am moving during piloting,, ( like on the boat for example ) so meaning my starting and current position have changed.. thanks a lot
