She was an Acapella girl, He was an Acapella boy and they're gonna have Aca-children, it doesn't even make sense in the context of Jesse's character, and all of that for what? Beca said, "I told you the long-distance thing didn't work" which clearly means that they broke up because they were on opposite coasts and their relationship couldn't handle it.
