Hello! It would depend on how badly damaged it is, my best suggestion would be to make an appointment for a consultation only with a knowledgeable hairstylist who does the Keratin and have them assess your hair. They’ll look at the state of your hair and determine if you can have the treatment. Hope this helps!
Thanks for this tutorial! I am wondering if you can save the solution that you don't use and use it later? We poured out 2 ounces, but probably only used 1 ounce since my hair is shoulder length. Since it is so $$$$, thought I should ask! Thanks!!
Hello Catherine! Thank you so much for your kind words! ♥️ That’s a great question. Whenever I pour, I only pour two ounces at a time so that I don’t wind up using less than needed, however there have been times that I put the unused back into the solution as long as it didn’t sit out for more than an hour! I’ve never had any issues so far! I have had Keratin bottle since before the pandemic and it is just as potent as the day I bought it!!! I can attest because I recently used it on myself and my family members’ Lol 🥰♥️
my clients has curly short hair. I cover her grey and highlights with bleach/ toner. I have her scheduled for treatment and color touch up a few days after . Do you recommend that ? or color/hilites/toner first?
Hello, I had the Lasio Keratin Treatment last year, and my hair got fried (noticed it a few days later). Been doing Lasio once a year and never had a problem, until last summer. I followed all of the proper care treatment afterwards. I wonder if she had the flat iron too hot (not sure). I NEED a treatment (hair is very frizzy, dry, and damaged), but I'm afraid. Any advice? Thank you!
Hello Diane! Thanks so much for reaching out! I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience, the Keratin should be restorative and refreshing, not damaging! It is possible there was too high heat on your hair. I would suggest getting a good trim to cut away the dead ends, and buying a deep conditioner (“it’s a 10” is my favorite and works wonders to restore hair!) Use it several times a week and let it sit for a an hour or so until you see some improvement. Also a great quality hair oil (Moroccan oil for example) is also very helpful to add moisture. If you decide to get another Keratin treatment, let the stylist know that you previously had this treatment but had a lot of damages as a result the last time you got it, and ask to use a lower temp on the iron. In the past 400+ degrees was recommended but now they have lowered that number due to concerns like you noticed! As long as it’s done properly I think it’ll work wonders for your hair, since it is adding the naturally occurring Keratin which is stipped from the hair in day to day styling. 😃 Best of luck Diane!
Hello Julie! Yes, that is correct- it is actually encouraged to lighten/color the clients hair directly before doing the Keratin treatment on them in the same day. It locks the color into the cuticle. ☺️
What is the difference between Brazilian blowout and keratin treatment? I got the brazilian and regretted it... The stylist had said it's the same thing which it's not.
hi great video i think I can do this at home where do you recommend buying the clarifying and keratin treatment? and I need to get a touch up should I do this first or will the clarifying strip color out?
Hello! I have a client that has had a Brazilian blow out approximately 5 weeks ago and is wanting me to do this one on her now. Do you think this will be okay? I didn’t know if I would just touch up where her hair is growing out or do al of it. Thank you so much!!
Hello Patina! 5 weeks should be fine! Since this will be the first time applying the Keratin complex treatment, I would apply all over from root to ends. ☺️ This treatment should last her longer than the BBO treatment, results are usually seen to last 3-5 months and the more you do it, the longer the results last!
Hello Anita! Each Keratin treatment can vary slightly...Sometimes hairdressers put the solution in a bottle and spray it rather than apply with a brush. Also, some solutions don’t call for letting it sit and you’re able to rinse out instantly. Did you notice a good result from it?
hi Danielle, thank you for the video, how long would you leave the keratin treatment on your hair before starting the blow dry? I watched it twice but didn't hear that. Also after final iron, I heard some hair dresser apply mask straightaway after ironing then rinse it with water no shampoo then client can wash it 48-72 hours afterwards, is this the right procedures? Appreciate X
Hello Azinoosh! 💜 Thank you so much for your comment! I usually leave the Keratin solution on the hair for around 45 minutes, and a max of 60 depending on the clients hair (the thicker, the longer I leave it on!) as far as the procedure, Each system is a little different I learned! For this one, there is no rinsing out at all, the product just gets blow dried and dissolved. However I’ve also used another system where you do rinse it- each system has a slightly different process so it’s very important to read the product instructions! I do always tell my client not to wash for at least 48 hours, 72 if they can hold out. ☺️
Hello Danielle, Can I put my hair in a ponytail after three days of keratin treatment before washing it? Is it still going to leave a dent on my hair? Thank you for the response in advance.
Hi im a license cosmetologist im looking forward to doing these services myself andI just got done watching your video it’s so helpful 😊but I do have a few questions what are the products being used the pictures below were blurry and how long did you let it sit before blow drying and what the difference in all the other NKST, EBO KCSMOOTH my last question how much do you charge for a service
Hello Laura! Keratin shampoo and conditioner is always recommended to prolong the treatment. As for moisturizing treatments, that’s always greatly recommended but not absolutely needed! I would suggest using something Keratin specific if you are going to, or just a line that is sulfate /sodium free💖
Hello Lety! The Keratin Treatment typically lasts anywhere from 3/4 months. However, the more you have the treatment done, the longer it lasts in your hair! I’ve seen some people go up to 6 months before having it redone. 😊
And I am a licensed cosmetologist and I was wondering where can I get the product cause I see it is very expensive so anyway I can save alittle . If it’s okay to know where I can get it I’ve looked in a few places and no one has this one
Hi Michelle! I have had SUCH a problem finding it too, there is only one store in my state that sells it and it’s pretty far away 😞 It is also very expensive, but honestly well worth the price because of how amazing it works. I believe the bottle is between $400-$450 (I bought it around a year ago so I forget exact numbers!). My clients only want me to use the NSKT on them because it’s just so amazing and the results speak volumes! The EBO is the “express” version of the NSKT. The NSKT is the true keratin system. I’ve never used the PBO so I’m not sure about that one! The EBO is a quicker application, but also I find the results don’t last as long as the regular NSKT treatment. Hope this helps! If you are in NJ, the store I get it from is DePasquales Salon Systems in Fairlawn NJ. You might even be able to call them and provide license details and ask them to ship to you! 😀
@@thegirlnextdoord thank you so much I’ll look into it and also with the one you used on yourself did let the treatment sit on the hair after styling for the 3 days b4 washing it off? And for the NKST do you recommend the keratin complex picture perfect hair sealing masque or the keratin complex fusion keratin replenisher
Hello Michelle! Yes, I absolutely recommend both of those products! Anything that helps extend the lifetime of the treatment is very helpful. They say the more you do the keratin treatment, the longer it lasts, so anything that helps lock the keratin into the hair is great. The masque is also great to help with damaged hair too, def recommend!
@@thegirlnextdoord oh okay cool I was asking and was alittle confused cause I kept seeing for the mask it would say when using the PBO but I was going to use the NSKT so I wasn’t sure if it was something o should get also but thank you so much for the reply’s and info appreciate it
Hello Daniela! ♥️ Thank you so much for the comment! Unfortunately this is not available to buy in stores unless you have a cosmetology license. If you are a hairdresser, it is called the “Keratin Complex” treatment! The bottle is super expensive but you get a lot of product with it. Or if you are looking to have it done, ask your salon if they do the Keratin Complex Smoothing treatment ☺️
Hello Leo! Unfortunately most Keratin systems do, I believe this one does as well but a very small amount (I remember hearing when the percentage is so low they don’t require to list it on the bottle as an active ingredient). I believe it’s under 1%. I’ve tried so many brands and unfortunately the formaldehyde free ones don’t work whatsoever! Which is why I limit this service to only two or three times a year for my clients.
@@thegirlnextdoord I’m glad you’re telling the truth about the formaldehyde. A lot of hair dressers I asked say it has none but I researched myself and found it does like most keratin treatment products. Like you said if it has little % of formaldehyde they don’t have to list it but it doesn’t mean it isn’t there. I think other stylists should be educated on the products being used and understand and tell their clients the truth of the chemical it contains.
Hello my love! 💗 Awww thank you SO MUCH! Right back atchya!!!♥️😘 And yes, I would absolutely recommend! Great news is- having previously bleached your hair wouldn’t affect the Keratin at all. If anything you would be even more of a candidate for Keratin! It would help to restore the natural Keratin back into your hair that is stripped from bleaching/heat/everyday styling. It is actually recommended if you did want to dye/bleach your hair again, that you do it all in the same day right before the Keratin Treatment! Let me know if you wind up getting it done, I would love to know what you think of the results! 😘 Xoxo
Hello Christina! I would say it depends on how fine the hair is, how dense, and how strong the hair is. I would say proceed with caution, and most likely no if the hair is more brittle and fine.
Hi Sandra! For a full head I charge around 400$ for installation- this is not a salon price. It’s several hours of work from start to finish, which is why salons charge so much. Also, the client covers the price of the hair which is usually 100-200$ but typically you can use the hair for 2 years time.
hi danielle i actually commented on another video too haha. you said you were located in new jersey, and i also live in new jersey so if you could help me find some locations to get this keratin treatment done that would be super helpful! :) also i loveeee your videos
