I think you start with 5 actions, with the extra unlock bringing you up to 6. Could be wrong, but that's how I interpreted the rules, and there are 6 cubes with the same color in my box. It makes sense as attacking another player or using the host attack costs 5 cubes, so basically your entire round unless you have unlocked the sixth. Also, this game is LONG. I had a game last 3 hours.

I'm a fan of the original story "Who Goes There", and this game intrigues me.
This definitely has the feel of the story. I would recommend giving it a play.
