Definitely follow instructions. I got too excited forgot to undo them transport screws and put a stencil in. It stopped and red light came on and I had that funny feeling on insides that I messed it up an expensive thing - luckily there is safety feature or in my case stupid proof feature and it works fine.
@@ThatTattooShow I love it just for the colour. It runs a bit slower than black and red one- I found that magic happens at just below 3 of speed for first stencil. And for some reason I found that it fades to the sides of sheet on both - old and new units. For a walk in shop these machines are gold. They are efficient and you save a bunch on stencil paper because you can use every little corner that you have laying around.
What I’d really like to see is this Tim Thermal machine and a brother thermal printer go head to head - throw in an ipad along with the mix and see who/what all plays well together 🤔 weigh up cost, cost efficiency and speed along with longevity of stencil applications 👍 I hope you do this, cause I know who my money is on to Win 😋
One thing I'm sad about is that it's so expensive but doesn't do all types of stencils. Why wouldn't it be able to do the printed portrait style stencils if it's over a thousand dollars 😮💨 still a power house! Still fast and efficient! BUT for the price it should offer more I believe!
For what it is and how long it will last and how much money it will make you. It’s not expensive. It was designed at a time when the printed portrait style stencils weren’t being done and it’s a technology that’s not been able to do it. It’s like saying you don’t want to buy a car cause it doesn’t fly.
Not sold on inkjet stencils and actually went back to my thermal so yeah ill keep an eye out for this!! Thanks !! Can't wait for the Flux Max review and maybe a Flux comparison ?
@@x_z0mb1_x I had trouble with stencil stuff and inkjet especially on young adults. My guess was that their skin is more oily so i went to thermal and spirit for them. Then the inkjet at my shop started going bad making lines and not printing some other lines so i just kept going with my thermal 🤷♀️. Shop said they would clean the heads but we just adapted to thermal. Anyways long story short I'm not sold on inkjet 🤣😅
@@elainegrossingernailartist8311 yea I'm on my second printer because of clogging/ lines luckily Epson actually replaced mine for free gotta print something once every few days to keep it flowing , the secret is honestly getting rid of all that oil with rubbing alcohol I usually do stencils a few times so I end up cleaning the skin alot and I find the last couple do not want to wipe off. The first definitely comes off easier so if you spend a good amount of time really cleaning the oil off the skin it will help alot I still love my spirit paper and pocketjet printer but sometimes it can't capture as much detail as inkjet , inkjet definitely gives the best detail level but I would always use pocketjet with spirit on a hand traced stencil / portrait work that I need to last all day, but small detailed things and speed of printing inkjet wins for me lately its been lasting as long as spirit with this technique now that my tank is almost empty I've experimented with just using nox violet in it and it's actually working really well heard of someone else doing this and it's a fraction of the price I'll probably still fill it up with more official Inket ink but for now this is definitely doing the trick at a fraction of the price
Very true! You can save paper with the Brother by printing small stencil at the bottom of the sheet and just cutting off the bit you need. As long as the top part is intact you can run the unused part back through the brother for another stencil 👍

I agree that's where these things really shine being able to sue scrap pieces of paper for little stencils here and there

The ironic thing is that thermal copier will out live all three of them.
