Here is a tip: "Don't get in a hurry." People playing like myself going the F2P route aren't going to have the throughput to brute force into those difficulty curves. Expect to play a long while. Keep your weaknesses managed as the scenarios you come across during the PvE content demand more than one approach (unless you get lucky with those early trinity pulls). Don't expect to keep up with the whales in the ranking(s), they have the shards and energy to burn. Enjoy the trip. Don't frustrate yourself trying to break into content you're ill prepared for. Incremental gains add up!
I'm going to drop a couple of tips I learned when playing this game. 1: A good composition is Two healers, two DPS, and one tank. I personally prefer having one AOE heavy healer and one single target (Tiaris and Liana specifically) This way you can keep your health full, and deal more damage, survive more stuff. 2: Don't neglect other roles trying purely for a DPS team. Pick your faction buff, build your team around it. The passive that it gives isn't even that important. Just the attack/defense buffs. Like it was said in the video, buffs and debuffs are important. Tiaris, for example, could attack blessing an ally, giving them 30% increased damage and 50% decreased damage taken when attacking. Liana has again, which could give your best unit another turn, basically giving you two of your best unit. If you make a Liana good enough, she can give this extra turn while still fully healing your ally. 3: Don't underestimate turn cycling. Have you ever looked at Luna's kit and thought to yourself "Ehh I don't want to run Wind Spiral. I'd have to run a defensive setup and waste the skill slots just to make use of it"? Well here's the thing. Because Luna is mainly there for her faction buff, if you run her with Wind Spiral, you can cycle into the faction buff faster. Running Luna and Cherie together without Wind Spiral would mean no buff for Cherie for a few turns. Using Again on Luna or Tiaris just to get closer to attack blessing or faction buff is a perfectly logical idea. 4: Don't buy equipment summons unless you're pay to win. Majority of the time, summoning a duplicate unit for the shards is better than SSR equipment. You can also get SSR equipment from the Goddess Trial also, so it's basically a waste of summons. 5: Depending on your amount of time played, it's better to buy the energy refreshes with crystals. For example, if you play a lot on the weekend, you might find yourself refreshing twice with crystals, and then you'd have to pay 100 crystals for another refresh. And you have no burgers to refresh with. If you refreshed once on the weekdays with crystals, you'd make it to the weekend with like 20 burgers and two crystal refreshes. 6: Prioritize team battles over single player. Most team battles only cost like 80% as much energy as single player, so you get more experience and rewards at less of a cost. 7: Don't be lazy. Push everything you can to its maximum. The sooner you get to that rift stage, the more you can sweep it, the faster you can power your guys up. The farther you push your bond stories, the faster you get extra stars on your guys. A lot of people complain about not getting that SSR piece of gear, but then don't refresh energy to do the Dark Contract event to get the SSR gear and the Orichalcum.
There is something else that bugs me when it comes to difficulty spike. It's not a big problem when it comes to modes like time rifts and story missions because eventually you will overcome them. The biggest problem lies with the event maps. I find it incredibly baffling that they're that much stronger when they're just two levels above your party, sometimes even at the same level. The thing is it continually increases so you're perpetually at a disadvantage most of the time. For example I'm currently lv. 45 at the time of this post so the event levels are lv. 47. Even when using tier 3 units with decently upgraded gear and troops, the battles seem very very VERY [[one-sided]]. I don't expect them to kill off troops without effort but they should at least be putting up a good fight against them. My only chance during this period is to cheese certain maps such as treasure looting. I just don't see how I'm doing so poorly in this one particular mode. And here's the real problem. By around the time you think you have enough improvements to your gear, troops, and heroes, you're suddenly about to cross the next threshold so all the progress you made is again undermined by the level increase of the event maps. This is the most infuriating part about this game and I think the only one in my opinion really. Otherwise, everything else in the game is excellent. You can play at your own pace with other aspects of this game. But having to deal with even maps that always seem to be a step ahead of you is where my peeve is.
This is exactly my issue.The worse part is because I can't complete this events maps, and they often hold awesome treasure.The other odd thing is that for some reason events pop up again, but at a much lower level . I was 42 and then a level 33 (34?) event map(s) popped up. Not even sure why, but I scooped em up anyways.Lastly Cherie is ridiculous. I seriously wish I used every ticket on this banner as most other character's seem so weak next to her.
@@franciscote3336 I've overcome this hurdle by making sure to always prioritize your core heroes--meaning to say the ones you use the most. The important thing is to have a tank, a damage dealer, and a faction buffer. Healers don't need to be built up as much as the other three since their primary role is to support and not combat but it also helps if you can allocate some resources for them. I had difficulty when I first hit lv. 35 but the difficulty spikes thereafter like lv. 45+ didn't give me much trouble because I super invested in my core units.
I definitely noticed this too, lately I've been struggling to complete all the daily tasks because of this last requirement which sucks. But I guess I will have to be stuck to just patiently grinding
@@TheDirk I didn't have much problem with it at higher difficulties because back then, my resources were spread thin so instead of trying to build several units, I refocused all my stuff to a core team of select units. So when I was like lv. 50 and the spike was lv. 52, I didn't have a hard time at all because of the invested units I had.
Man, I love this video, because even though you didn't speak about everything, video would be too long, I was able to see your enchants on your characters, see who you've been leveling, great in between the lines guide for me, most in depth, video I have found soo far by anybody, I'm level 46, been gaining a level almost every other day, for me, the biggest thing I get stuck on really is time rift 3 starring levels with low turn counts, I can usually play up two levels on world map, but have to play down couple levels for rift, this is one of the most well designed f2p vs p2w friendly games in my opinion, it's not like you need to auto just to level either, you can sweep, auto alot of your team missions, and then there are levels that will always be challenging you, people saying the diff spikes at 30, then 37 - 40, 42-45, but there still playing, did they forget soo quickly that they struggled and overcame those obstacles, it feels nics to feel a sense of accomplishment when you finally beat a level using strats.
Yep exactly, my initial point in the video so hope more people will take this thinking and treat it as another form of progression. Working a few days on Aniki gym for eg isn't getting stuck.

Often people are very comfortable just going with their "strongest 5" but those 5 aren't always the right ones for the job. Upon hitting lv. 45 today, I once again tried my luck on the lv. 40 Sonya event with the Princess faction, double support (Liana+Tiaris), double DPS (Luna+Cherie or Lana), and a tank (Freya or Ledin--there was even a time I ran both). I still get routed as there is simply way too many infantry units on top of fliers and Sonya herself charging in all at once after defeating Rohga's group. I only used Freya because of Sonya herself but there's no way for me to eliminate the waves of infantry fast enough to lessen the tanking burden of Freya/Ledin. No to mention they can force your tank out of position with their annoying Ram ability. I decided to abandon faction buff support and ran with Liana, Tiaris, Ledin, Lana, and Sonya. Rohga's group is easily dealt with just like any other party composition I had thrown in there thus far. In this map, I think Sonya's mobility was key and all she did was pick off the infantry troops one by one. Luckily she can annihilate them in one attempt and proc Demon Blood. It is important that she receives Tiaris talent every engagement though so once again positioning is very critical. Managed to slaughter the lot of them once the enemy Sonya has been dealt with. I find Ninjutsu Sonya extremely valuable here. So there it is. It seemed counter-intuitive to abandon some powerful assets like faction buffs and Cherie's sweeping potential in favor of a more controlled battle progression but it worked out in the end.
@@CrashAriMP5N2O Well from that comment I can gather that I forgot to mention in the video (since I did in many previous videos) that the SSR accessory to prevent movement down is great and it stops Ram skill from dislodging your unit or getting debuffed. But obviously that's a rare item so the alternative is a Magic Resist skill or Gospel from Liana which does the same thing.
Forgot to mention Joint Battles, and Bond missions in Secret Realm. Joint battles are the most stamina efficient for their rewards so be sure to participate. The bond missions aren't as important as training as they are unit specific and very costly to upgrade -- therefore it is lategame content (level 50 or more) and I recommend to focus on Aniki instead until then -- but get your daily Bonds done ofc.
I just sort of mindlessly do the daily stuff every day, without even touching the story. I'm on like ch18 and haven't even touched it? Around lv41, just letting my team grow stronger as it will and eventually I figure I'll be able to steamroll most content.
Ok i dont understand why the npcs im fighting have like 100 more attack than i have at the same level, im doing all these extra things to build up my people but cant fight anything my level.
Sorry in advance for all the questions it's alright if you can't respond to all of them bud,just hit level 46 today, how often are you using any bow or assasin units, also out of the mages, how much do. You like hein, or do you use imelda, Egbert, bozel, or hein ever in pve, also. Is it Is it worth rune stoning diehart back to calv for second horse unit, or should I go Sonya? Letecia?or is it unwise to invest in two of everything, like do I need grenier for my Legion or is vargus ran with leon, mixed with ledin liana, cherie better.
No worries I should have said in the video that I would be accepting Q&A. Assassin units are the fastest units which means they are the best ranged duelists but they don't have a strength even to flyers. They have the best troop training though and really good traits to make up for it. As for them or bow units, definitely you can use one of them especially in PVE but 2 is overkill. I've done a more indepth PVE guide "Essential Strats you should know" if you want more detail. Hein is a bit bad tbh but comes with great skills. Bozel is a god and I reviewed him. Eggbert is also quite godly especially in PVP. Imelda not so much good in the long run I believe since her kit doesn't scale too well. Do you have Leon already, if so don't need another horse unit unless it's Leticia just for completing maps faster.

Just a quick thing: when you are talking about carries you mention Dieharte as free to play option. He’s not really, very few people got him on day 1, most players at this point started after his event was over. Cherie is far better and her event is still on anyway.
Class upgrade mats cost way too much in this game. By the time you are done with the dailies, you hardly have enough stamina to farm class upgrade mats for 1/4 of a lvl 40 class upgrade. The situation gets worse every 5 levels. I can't enjoy the new SSR I pulled until a week later at least while I farm up those upgrade materials.
I believe this is actually very good, as you have to prioritize, who to upgrade first. Further during the five levels (until you reach the next breaking point) and your power improves significantly with each class upgrade and thus feels less grindy to reach the next breaking point as you constantly progress.
The reason why I thinks healers are important is cause the more hp your troops are at the higher damage you will do..Still the dmg carry and tank are more important
I got a staff for my Liana the other day, upgraded it to 4 star SSR. Base Intellect of 67 or so. Enchanted it with Crystal and it gave the staff 11% Intellect and 26 Intellect as buffs. Now Liana can use Again, give someone another turn, and heal them to full at the same time. So I'd also argue that investing into healers is a good idea.
Currently my liana heals for 2.5k, I use the blessing staff rn it gives me +9% healing, once I get lvl 50+ Ima switch enchants to tree of life cause with crystal you will over heal
Not to sound mean, but people who pay gets a huge boost and barely notices the spike but for completely f2p players the insufficient units and materials proves a major hurdle. If you have the point of view of a daily progression check , stamina usage or which banners and units to use, please do advice.
@@Sakagashi Well the flags you can buy does give you extra runs in secret realm and orichalum ore is easier to obtain for p2p players. IMO paying for these is better that rolling in gacha.

Like general how do you go about moving your troop when progressing through content? Gather than debuff? Tank with guard and heal through. Just got Tiaris as healer thanks to the new event so lately she has been a big help. I was gonna ask how to deal with macho blast, but I'm done with that wall with Tiaris. Lol

There is no such game existed without Hard grind for Free player unless the Grind is non existence.

Like general how do you go about moving your troop when progressing through content? Gather than debuff? Tank with guard and heal through. Just got Tiaris as healer thanks to the new event so lately she has been a big help. I was gonna ask how to deal with macho blast, but I'm done with that wall with Tiaris. Lol
@@eight08life15 Ah yes I have a video for that - "essential strats you should know". Also for macho it targets your grouped up units so only group your tanks and separate the rest.

yeah, I used to be Diamond 2 Kayle in League of legends. I'm waiting for her rework now :) There are some LoL videos on my channel but they are kinda bad.
