No matter how hard you work, you’ll never gain more time. All you can do is manage your time better. Don’t be afraid to drop some work to make room for the more important parts of life. Family always comes first.
Good to see you back Brad. Family first. Videos are not that important. We’ll take what we can get. Like the idea of using totes. That’ll save some time.
You did the right thing taking a sabbatical. You’ve only got one chance to spend time with family and you can’t get it back if you miss it, even though I also really like your content!
Boy I know how hard it is to juggle everything. I have 4 boys, a wife, a job, firewood, and if I threw in TH-cam in as well that might be the straw that breaks the camels back. I watch you and wonder how you do everything and keep everything so tidy. Tidy is the first thing that would go for me.
Welcome back, Brad!!! Taking care of our family's is the most important part of what we do. there was a slow down of content but life and family are what matter and you did right by letting us sit back as you fought back. we are here for ya brother. Great to see ya at Hope event. cant wait for Bunyan and ill be bringing you a bottle of Travelers!!!
Stacking to dry is such a waste of time, should only be stacked at the delivery, I’ve been saying that for years, BUT sometimes it’s necessary. I’m glad you’re evolving your operation in this direction, you can’t recognize JPF in my 10+ year old videos
Good to see you Brad and all is well. The best news ever was that you recognized the problems and made the right calls to get things back in order. 👍🏻👍🏻
I've been changing to all ibc totes .I also cut the bigger ones in halve and make 1/6 of a cord .I stack once and the sell at road side stand .only handle wood once.
Persimmon is considered a hardwood, dense and heavy. It is used to be used to make golf club heads for drivers and fairway woods. I believe they make kitchen utensils, cutting boards, rolling pins, etc. The grain is similar to hickory.
The bin idea is interesting if you live in a dry windy area. Harder to load and when I tried it did not dry well. Too humid and not windy enough here. Hope it works out. It should you turn your wood faster than most.
Hello Mr. Brad, US time, We time and Me time are important, and at the present 24 hour a day time schedule, you have to prioritize, The Yard is looking GREAT, you have it looking nice for our next rainy day Fellowship ......
Hey Brad Welcome back, Take care of your family first, if someone doesn’t understand, well they can go talk to a tree!!! Anyway When you sell green wood, how do you price that out? I have a couple of customers asking about green wood. Thank you
Great to see you back in the woodyard Brad. Did I hear a possible "Fellowship at the HOPE"? I totally understand the "not enough hours in the day" situation. I've had the same problems between my landscape maintenance business, a few health issues, and family time. That is all getting better and I hope to be back on schedule soon. I'm looking forward to seeing you at Bunyan!
Fake news😂😂 I'm good at starting rumors though 💪💪 Persimmon can be a good smoker wood, its also a good heating wood. Ive got a bit of it in a stack somewhere mixed in. Good to see ya back Brad. I can also help out if ya need a hand loading, cutting, splitting, whatever. I work for wood😂😂 Stay safe brother💪
Welcome back my Friend. We all need a Break now and then. Nice looking Wood, to Split that Ash. I will not be at Bunyan Show do to being a Senior on a Fixed Income and my Wife having a few Medical Problems. I had a problem about a Month or or so I Fell in the Wood Pile and Hit my Right Shoulder. Banged up Fairly good. Still healing, but Scrapes and Bruises are going Away. Best to you and your Family and do take it A little Easy. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
As a man of the house, husband and father to 2 very active kids I can't blame you for your sabbatical from TH-cam. Although you make some great video's, the balance between life in general and family is always a tough one, Although many miss the content, at least your keeping it real. The family should always be priority one, kids grow up to quick and you want to be there for them and the memories you will continue to make. As for the wife, mom your number one supporter , she needs special time to be pampered in her own special way even if its just a quiet day / night just hanging with her man. Keep doing you, your true followers understand it and will be patient.
Family time is more important than anything else. I’m not sure we could have done it when our kids were younger We understand completely about the time TH-cam takes away from the real job of getting work done
So I see you have a very nice set up even to stacked wood so could you help answering when wood been thrown into a truck or tralier what is a good rough estimate of how many cubic feet is a cord of wood? Thank you.
Great to hear from you again, Brad! Was wondering if you were getting 'burned out' with YT vids / firewood. Your rows look awesome with being trimmrd /weed wacked - Mom? My rows have a small jungle growing next to them :)
Brad,…we get it. Sometimes, we all need that reset. It gives us time to reassess our priorities. I think you would’ve been fine with taking a month off from TH-cam. Maybe even doing one or two videos a month for a while will help as well. I’m just throwing suggestions out there. I read a comment about suggesting that you build a log lift table to keep from having to bend over as much. I would suggest ordering a pair of Bahco log tongs. You look like a fairly tall man. They make a huge difference in handling rounds from off the ground,…especially for someone like myself who is 6’6” tall. Tony did a video on different brands,…and he obviously spent my money. They work well,…and he explains why. I think you would greatly benefit from a pair of them. th-cam.com/video/-t6jQ4LJnZg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8lpuOhAdwFBlPlrp
Seems like you could use some extra help with the firewood business. (Bundles and bulk firewood). Maybe you could hire a high school kid to help with video production.
We'll be here but which kid wheels you around when you get a kick back and you cut off a leg. Not being rude but it happens every day. PPE really simple

How much more horsepower do you get out of your 500i as to a,stock 500i. I believe your has be modified.
The only thing that’s different is the muffler. I don’t think it’s that much really
Yeah I heard that "fake news" at Hope but it went in one ear and out the other.
😂😂😂 Fake news, I like spreading rumors. Makes the days go by faster!
So I see you have a very nice set up even to stacked wood so could you help answering when wood been thrown into a truck or tralier what is a good rough estimate of how many cubic feet is a cord of wood? Thank you.

Thoughts on putting down runners or making a bucking station to lift the logs off the ground and save your back from bending over?
How dare you put your family over us! Come on Brad, we understand and care about you and your family. Do what you have to do and we will be here!
lol, thanks for the chuckle
Who are you?!😉 how did the kindling sales go?
How long do you let that ash wood sit for before you sell it in the bundles?
Normally about 2-3 months if it was dead standing
Sweet gum smells bad but once it drys pretty much goes away so wondering if the persimmon is same way
