BBC South Today - Bournemouth's ABC Cinema closes down

Do you remember your first visit to the cinema? It may well have been to an ABC Complex. They were one of the biggest names during the post-war heyday of British cinema-going and tonight, the last remaining ABC cinema will close. It's in Bournemouth as Edward Sault reports

Also ABC used to have the weekend ITV franchise until they merged with Rediffusion TV to form Thames.

It was just an ABC building? It was run by the Odeon a few doors down. I'd have Monday's at the Odeon, and Friday's at the ABC when I worked for Odeon at Uni

so So, so when is this cinema gonna be demolished into rubble to make way for new homes for the homeless as cinema is non-essential.
