@@MinimalList Greetings from Sunny Banbury. With Your Hat,sunglasses and long beard You remind Me of Billy Gibbons from 'ZZ Top' from Texas.'Afterburner' was the title of their 1985 album, the follow up to Eliminator(Gimmie all your lovin'...legs....sharp dressed man) which You probably know.Happy cruising,Regards,Starman.
A very happy George on the tow path and a Gloucester Old Spot trying to snack on M's fingers....and will we see Joe's hair ever again? Another fantastic vlog
I hope Michael recovers quickly from the injury he got off camera after removing your hat. I really liked the Deep lock shot where the boat just came up out of the ground as if by magic, that was great.
I came late, so I'm starting to watch your first videos....NO way you would steer the boat with your back and not your hands...You've come a long way, well done! ALL the best.
I think there are many things that differ, House vs Narrowboat, the fridge size for a start. I think noting of getting a dozen eggs or two and putting in the fridge. Or extra meat and putting in the freezer down stains in the basement. Even my daughter shops on a daily basis, even with her flat in London. We did learn to appreciate the Brough Market while we were there, Everything was so fresh, well this was before BREXIT.
Still a fair bit of fresh produce about, but there's been a noticeable drop in the availability of several imported items. Eggs are in no short supply, and luckily here we really don't have to refrigerate them, since the waxy cuticle is left on from the farm. Brexit has definitely wrought some changes, but I think it will take a while for people to see just how many. M
Have you ever thought about the Anderton boat lift, seen it a year ago. The most amazing piece of engineering I have ever seen, I do mean antique. Luv you two and George, San Berdoo dude.
Woohoo!! Lemon Cake! I dont get into town as much since I retired, so I am vicariously snack shopping thru your vids. Pubs, cafes, bakeries, farmshops, and serene countryside moorings... Canal Life ftw
Love your Vlogs they bring back back many happy memories when I was steering commercially back in the 1960's. One thing though a narrow boat is steered not driven. Keep the Vlogs coming they are fantastic.
Love the fact, that like most, not all, but most men, when asked not too do something, that's exactly what they are going too do. Age, nationality, have no bounds, it's a gene thing. Born a boy, always a boy. Love it. Michael, I salute you sir, on a job well done. The downside is, Jo is the one who edits, so pixelation it is then. You two are adorable, and a bonus, George......
Some places I would try and aim for are:- Llangollen Anderton boat lift Standedge tunnel Bridgewater canal Trans pen nine crossing on Leeds and Liverpool Saltaire Bingley five rise And the aqueduct over the Manchester ship canal who's name escapes me at the moment.
How did you find that great tune without the weird rapper on it? Great vide BTW - I live near Banbury and wanted to see what more of the Cana was like. This helped. Thank you,
The big question that I want to ask,,,, is Where do you plan to spend Christmas this year. We have a house in Leeds, but we will have Christmas day on our boat in Stafford.
Funny, it’s great not growing up isn’t it Michael?😂 Change of subject - would it not be useful to get a folding bike to keep onboard for those supermarket trips?
If i could fine a folding mountain bike, maybe. Used to own a Brompton, and while I loved it I wouldn't want to take it on the towpath, or any of the muddy mucky trails we often have to follow. Nearly broke my neck falling off one of those things when the wheel caught in a soda can, they're not that stable! And yeah, never grow up. Just grow old. M
I was watching Jo's face when you said "Thanks for watching without saying click"!
Jo, Micheal playing catch up with your blogs, the key you use for the bridges is that the same CRT key for the CRT toilets and showers.
Yeah, it's often known as a BWB (for the old British Waterways Board) Key, and works for pretty much all the CRT facilities for boaters. M
🐂🐂🐂 Hereford cross. 😊
Michael your a riot!
Thumbs up and an "awwww" for 3:44
Awww. It was a nice hug! M
For a man who 'rocks' the Billy Gibbons look, the 'Afterburner' cheese You bought was very apt..
I'm afraid these references are all lost on me.

Ahh!
Evil eye through sunglasses - must be a super-power!
Love the music too, really great job, the high speed lock rising was awesome
Thanks! M

We shall see it again, albeit probably not till spring! And I kept my fingers well clear of the little fella's actual snacking apparatus! M

Michael is still limping. It was a great shot! M

Yeah, took me a while to get comfortable being comfortable! Thanks for watching! M
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha the hair thing!
But on the other side of the coin you were looking Mighty Orange :P
No hands like your style sir so chill.
Just gotta learn to abide. M
The Pig Place! Looks like a fun place to shop! Beautiful day with beautiful scenery. Loved it! Safe travels!
Thanks! I'm not sure it's as fun for the pigs, but it's quite a lovely little shop and the people very friendly. M

Definitely, it's on the list of things to visit! M
Yay George. Without saying click...priceless.

Hope it tasted as good vicariously as it did in real life! M
The cuddle says a lot
about your relationship
It's a good relationship! Good cuddle too. M
Priceless :-)
Brings back memories of our trip in the summer although that was in reverse. Looking forward to the next instalment.
Thanks! Looking forward to getting it uploaded! M

That is true, though I don't think I could get either of us to stop saying "I want to drive!" M

I'm just glad I didn't get a black eye! M
come on Jo, find some waves, get on that tide... thumbs up

Llangollen
Anderton boat lift
Standedge tunnel
Bridgewater canal
Trans pen nine crossing on Leeds and Liverpool
Saltaire
Bingley five rise

All on the list! M
Click!....beautiful...I miss England....just vacationed there in July for two weeks and ready to plan another visit soon!
It is a gorgeous country in places! M
Perseverance is a Manatee in disguise :)
I wish. Always wanted to meet a manatee! M
Weed hatch has another meaning in Canada now, since recreation weed is legal now. Nice video.
Not the same sort of weed, though most of my Canadian friends back home never knew it wasn't legal. M
I want one of those push button drawbridges for my house!
Me too! First I need a canal running through it! M
Great video and editing. Really wonderful job
Thanks! Jo's gotten really good at it! M
The pixelation on the hair just cracked me up!
Me too! Though I'm lucky she didn't shove me in the canal! M

We'll probably be with family and on land... but it's a bit hard to say this far out. Can't fit the whole extended group into the boat though! M
Great vlog guys. Your editing skills have gone up a notch (that's English for improve Michael 😉😉) quite a bit. Nice one.
Jo has picked up the editing amazingly quick, and she's always trying to improve. I, on the other hand, am mainly technical support. M
I liked the redacted hair part! You're going to have to find a way to sneak a peek in sometime!
She controls the vertical and the horizontal ... I don't think anyone but me shall ever know what happens on her bad hair days! M

What happened to georges walk!
He got it eventually! M
Well that was a hair raising experience.
I'm still surprised I survived that one! M
I like pigs 🐖🐖🐖
Me too! And pigs like me! M

Aynho is properly pronounced Ain-hoe (ain as in "pain", hoe as in the garden implement) but I keep wanting it to be Anyhow!
Michael is not fun to mess with the female sense of humor!?! CLICK!
Don't I know it. M
Great how you two work together.. i wish i could find a partner that could/would be that for me.
Do what we did, go round the world and wander rural Vietnam alone!
Come to think of it, not sure that's the easiest advice to follow. M
CLICK!
Dammit ....
