Thank you Ken these are all the bikes I grow up with as a kid. It was a great time to grow up in 1960s to 1990s. This was me then my children. The first home computers, big V8 muscle cars, no cell phones or internet . The world was changing movies Jaws, Star Wars, The Duel, ET and lots of 2strokes motorcycles, with the big Super Bikes, Honda 750 4, Suzuki Water bus 750 and lots more. Thanks again Ken.
I recently found the joy of small thumpers again, scored a 2008 XT250 took me day to get it running. I looked all over for a XL/XR small displacment thumper just out of my price range. Love all your uploads!
Nice looking bike 🏍, one of my subscribers has a Honda XL250 from 1978 and it took a while for it to have replacement parts because it is 40 years old like an Antiquity.
Super reliable, fun and go forever on a tank of gas. Sounds like a description of my Honda z50a , Honda CT70, 1975 Honda xr75 and xr250r prolink. Riding all day on a tank of gas changed when I got my 1976 Honda CR125 Elsinore. It would suck up a tank of gas quickly if you keep it on the pipe and of course it was always on the pipe!
Cousin had one of these in late 70's. Learn to ride it in the cow pastures. Sister burned her thigh on that muffler/right bun heater. Kaplan family keeping the passion fires burning with more Unobtainium!! 😍
I´ve ridden her for a few years and later many other bikes. In respect to costs, reliability and fun factor in combination she has been one of the best bikes.
I owned one of those in 1980 11yrs old rode it for 4 yrs before my brand new xr250r . A guy in our motorcycle club owned salem Honda and we paid 1,250 for a off the showroom floor brand new XR250r .
im Living in the EU (germany) in i rly need a Highfender, wicht looks like this one for this bike, does someone know whichone would fit? Germany only has the Lower fender models
Hey my 2 stroke 250 sit for half a year and I started it with the choke on cold start and it reved all the way up and I turned the choke off and Killswitch and it turned off, then it ran fine. Why did it do this was it because I didn't empty out my carb n fuel from letting it sit. I ran the bike until it stopped running with the gas off this time hopefully it won't rev way up because I didn't do that last time letting it sit.

I like that blue speedo and the "125" on the engine. Honda's attention to detail is incredible. This ground-up restoration is incredible.

The crank case probably had fuel in it from not turning off the peacock. Causing it to overfuel a bit on first start up.
