    I'm using Nanoflare 700, love it so I bought two of them. My friend bought 800 and the other one 800lt. To me, 800 is similar to 700 but slightly head heavy and so easy to do smashes. While the 800lt, surprisingly feels more heavy than 700 for doing lob and long drive. So, I'm happy with my 700... : )

    I got a Nanoflare 800 LT but it was really hard to use at first. Its compact frame and light weight nature (5U) make it difficult to make shots to back of court and smash.
    It did took a while to improve my technique and get use to it. Now it's one of my favorite racket
    Even though Nanoflare is supposely a head-light series, the 800 LT feels more like an even balance racket.

    I am really pleasantly surprised by how well and how comfortable I am with the NR800, Speed, Feel and Power is all there, to me it is not lacking power at all. This is more down to individual style and technique I guess. I never gave much thoughts until I tried my friends 3U version, (3 days ago). So much so I bought it off from him after just one game ! (as he does not like it at all)....I am a long term 88D user, 4U and then later 3U, wanted to try something different after my wrist injury. This NR800 is much easier to yield, and also is more forgiving (I am also surprised that the small head does not affect my play, I thought that maybe there could be a bit more miss hit, but no, surprisingly not) I am so happy now that I found a racket that I am comfortable with, it gives me the confidence and inspire me to go all out and attack. Yes I agree with you head light racket does not equate to less power !

    I've went from using the 700nanoflare to 88D pro for doubles. I believe it's more suitable for players with an aggressive style of plays which I have progressed into after gaining more exposure to doubles from getting training. I would still recommend the 700 for anyone who is more of a net and defensive type of players.

    Hi CK, it's nice to watch your racket review. One thing I always wonder about the racket You reviewed is the thickness of the frame that has no grommet hole in it, that run against the air while we swing the racket. What You always provide is the thickness of the frame part that has grommet hole in it (some sources refer it as depth). I believe the thickness that run against the air is quite important measure also to define how aerodynamic is the frame. BTW, keep up the good work 👍

      @@diptatapas8032 oohh, you mean like if we look the frame from front side not from sideways. Yes the nanoflare line is thinner but it's not a new tech. I've seen this on PRINCE rackets, whiplite series in the 90's.

    Hi CK, I'm thinking about changing my racket (88d pro 4u) right now because while it's really feels good and strong for smash, I often fail to defense and late for drive because it's feels a bit too heavy for me. I'm a doubles player, not a heavy smasher, I like counter play style and do deceptive shots. Which one do you think is better for me, nf800lt or astrox 100zz?

      88D Pro is head heavier so obviously has more power. I would also say the 88D Pro is perhaps a touch faster than the 77 due to its frame profile but the 77 is more whippy.

    I recently pick up badminton again (I played for 5 years when I was a kid) and am using a very old armortec 900. I am a smash kind of player. But since I am playing in a club now so 90% of the time I am playing double. I can definitely tell I am slow in respond in front court and backhand especially in defense because of the heaviness feeling of the racket. I am thinking between Nanoflare and even after your amazing video. I still dont know. While I am asking my friends around to try, what do you think which one should I take? According to YY’s data the balance point of NF800LT is 310 (note that the balance point of AX99 is 305), so someone call it “a 5u zf2”.

    • @CKYew
      @CKYew  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally, I find balance points are not a good measure of head heaviness of rackets because everyone measures it differently - with or without grip, tape or no tape, etc... A lighter racket will obviously have a higher balance point because the wooden handle's weight is almost fixed whereas there's less material above the wooden handle.

    Hi CK,
    I'm a 13 year old county singles player and my strings on my yonex astrox 100zz have just broke so I'm looking for a re-string.
    I really like the specifications of the bg66 ultimax but am really concerned with the durability as I would rather not pay for often re-strings. I know it's hard but would it be possible to give a rough prediction of how long this string would last?

    • @CKYew

      Its impossible to give a definite durability but as a super thin string, it wouldn't last very long if you're playing 4-6 hours a week on a single racket.

    Hello, Ive been playing with the Yonex Astrox 99 Game for about a year now and I play mixed doubles. My partner plays with a Nanoray 270 which is quite head light compared to my racquet at least, but since he’s already super strong he can still get deadly smashes with it. I’m looking for a lighter racquet with more speed and control because my head heavy racquet does not help with front court and drives since i guess i’m too weak. My smashes back court are deadly though bc it’s head heavy. I want a racquet that gives me that control and speed but also doesn’t sacrifice that power. Id say i’m at an intermediate level.. Hi ck ❤❤
    Greetings from India
    My question is a bit tricky
    I have been playing with a very basic 73 grams racket
    Astrox smash - it’s a bit head heavy
    Whenever I play with a bit heavy racket 4u -5u ( astrox 88d etc) I miss the whip and swing speed plus they are also head heavy
    The same problem I faced with Duora z strike
    Very surprisingly my clears are more deep with 73 grams racket in comparison to 80-90 grams racket
    With a light racket my swing speed is more to generate more force but with a head heavy racket even 5 u I lack swing speed altogether so I am not able to generate smash or clears
    Should I then invest in nf 800 or nf 700 or nf lt or any other racket u would recommend
    Thanks and love

    • @CKYew
      @CKYew  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Z Strike is very stiff and has decent head weight so it’s quite demanding to play with. I guess you’ve found it easier with ‘gentler’ rackets and I would recommend keeping that way. Maybe the arc 11 play might be a good one too? I certainly liked the nf800 lots and the 700 is very whippy too 💪🏻 good luck

    I’m 40-year old woman who got into badminton for fitness but now I’m doing training with a coach 3x a week and social game play 1x a week with my friends. Should I pick this racket? I’m not a hard hitter and I prefer playing defensively and near court. Thanks for replies.

      Both are great in my opinion! 700 is a touch softer with more whippiness! 800lt felt a bit too light for me. But the 800 is pretty good as well

    Sorry but a little unrelated here, but have you had any grommet sinking issues when using arcsaber 10s in 28lbs?

    • @CKYew
      @CKYew  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Helloooo, short answer is no as I do replace any damaged grommets everytime I string.

    • @falsecatalyst3936
      @falsecatalyst3936 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CKYew ah see this is because i have always been curious of the arc11 but I’m always dissuaded by the low tension warranty cap and various horror stories online about the arc11 sinking in what are considered moderate tensions in modern times, so I appreciate this response

    • @CKYew
      @CKYew  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve not really seen much sinking since the days of the Armortecs. As strings are getting thinner and tensions are getting higher, make sure to always replace worn grommets and you should be ok 👍🏼

      @@CKYew ah, i see, is astrox 88d pro slower or faster on defense compared to the arc11? and how much slower are these two compared to the nf700? I’m asking this as sledgehammer rackets that I’m used to using such as the tk9900 and zf2 have made me very lazy when defending smashes, worsening my technique, thank you for all the detailed responses so far by the way, they mean a lot to me

    • @falsecatalyst3936

      Also the 88s series of rackets are a total no no for me as the shorter length of my 68s throws me off completely for some reason
