Rossi, now the owner of the VR46 Racing Team, was furious after reports emerged that Marc Marquez had been using a GP23 bike that violated MotoGP's technical regulations. According to Rossi, the GP23 used by Marquez in recent races had a technological advantage that exceeded what was allowed. In a heated interview, Rossi did not hold back his thoughts.
"This is no longer just a personal rivalry, it is about fairness on the track. If it is true that the GP23 violates the rules, it destroys the competitive spirit that we uphold in MotoGP. I know how tight the competition is, but this has crossed the line."
