the soaps and telenovelas play a more important role than the singing. today, this contributes to fame more. but seen from the position of an artist, a full life with all these many tasks and employments is quite stable and happy, even when participation in acting is small. audiences get easily addicted with "fame"...

BTW great job by GMA7, in their support at developing and balancing these careers, and positioning them in smart ways. to me it seems that both give each other a boost in credibility, because they collaborate repeatedly in various shows. it would not work if they are not on eye-height as artists and personalities, but they do different things and have different fans, so it should add up very well. the fans of one (if reasonable and mature FTM) will see, that the other artist is great as well.
