I'm surprised they don't. It would be relatively small production, high profit and bring more brand visibility. Perfect scenario for a growing new manufacturer like Rivian.
This is the most interesting interview on the R2 I've seen so far. She really gets the engineers to talk not just the what, but the why. That is so much more interesting, understanding the decisions made.
Sue knows her shit inside and out and yet doesn’t try to make every interview about herself. The rest of the crew @ Munro needs to learn from her how to be engaging without being pompous, how to be knowledgeable without being a know at all,, and how to get the outside expert interview subject to present information in the best light. Top notch.
I've watched all of the Munro videos for years now and haven't seen any pompous, know it all behavior from any of the presenters yet. Sue is a great interviewer...Yes.
Watch the Boom video. Munro doesn’t know anything about airplanes or aerodynamics but he makes it seem like he does. The Boom guys have to gently guide the conversation away from the ridiculous stuff he says.
Unfortunatly out of my price range but I really really like Rivian cars. They look cool, yet friendly. It really is right up my alley. Great familiy car.
They've burned up over $21,000,000,000 in capital since 2019 per forbes. To produce just over 133,000 total vehicles smh. Minus their known debt&rivian is already WORTHLESS despite raising over $28,000,000,000!
My 1994 Plymouth Voyager LX has those two windows opening automatically, and I enjoy the little breeze every time in the summer i drive. Small things but nice effects.
@@markplott4820 Cool! When you compare ICE vehicles and having to use a diagnostic tool to access its computer, modern EVs with their on board diagnostics is like a big win.

What an amazing presentation, and I'm totally impressed with Rivian products, you can tell they put the extra effort to make the best product possible and always thinking of the consumer...Javi G.
@ Will be great when they are both widely available. Too bad about Canoo. By the time Tesla delivery van is available (it’s unclear when that will be), they may all have autonomous driving capability.
Not when that's less than 12 months of current capex burn rates it doesn't really help. As rj in late 2023 claimed fully building out the GA plant alone would cost them between $10-15,000,000,000!
Simplicity isn't nessesarily cheap. Literally ask any current or former drivers of the US Postal Service fleet. Uncomfortable vans with no climate control put undue strain on delivery drivers, leading to health problems and drivers constantly calling in. Cheaply made vans with no power constantly need tows and service calls. And that doesnt even get into churn: how expensive is it to constantly be training new drivers because the old ones quit? How expensive are strikes? How expensive are work compensation claims? How expensive is the bad press around drivers peeing in bottles? How expensive is bad press around delivery miles and fuel consumption? How expensive is advertising for new drivers? Amazon tried it the other way. Clearly, they needed something different. And to me this vehicles looks like a check list of driver complaints, safety issues, and negative press being directly addressed through a clean slate design. What you see as useless, expensive faff, Amazon undoubtedly sees as a PR and HR investment. The smile this vehicle enduces when you see it on the road is no mistake and no extra design bonus... it is very calculated and a major piece of Amazon attempting to rewrite the public and employee perception of them as a company.
Great energy, good questions and heck, Sue does a better job selling these vehicles than Rivian does! It's great to see more great and fun electric vehicles on the road!

When will they be available 15 passengers and from my point of view 400 to 500 mile ranges would be very important because these fans not only need to haul passengers but pull trailers and go long distances and push against the wind and handle cold weather and one trip after another so that they can run all day long for 400 or 500 miles at least Without much time charging so we also need DC fast charging at high speeds with these vans because they use a lot of energy for the work required and I’m sure you realize that Rivian Vans are great for certain niches of transportation, but what about those niches that are not being covered yet ? the longer range bigger battery, faster dc fast charging and faster AC charging at home! Please give us more information and highlight these points so that it is brought to the forefront because this is so important for the progress of so many people in their businesses and personal vans as well!
I'm still not a fan of the vertical headlight cluster because in my mind the lights should be in a landscape array to spread the light across the road. On the other hand the vertical cluster gives a deeper penetration of the road ahead, so I'm wondering what happens if you were to combine the two into a cruciform array? Also I'd like the centre screen accessible to the front passenger to be able to do things for the driver so he/she can concentrate on the road.
Well, they decided to do the Semi instead. How many millions of them are on the road? How many times a day to people in the public see them on the road?
