"If I nail it, I look like a badass. If I fuck it up... that's content, baby!" Cracked me up lmao. You inspired me to try this on the mushy buttons on my Razer Kishi android controller. (If I can also get a working headphone jack in there too, it'll become the ultimate portable PC/PS5 in-home streaming device.)
Thanks bob! This one was pretty helpful I always hear these words “mushy” and “clicky” when you and other you tubers review controllers but I never really knew exactly what “clicky” was and why it’s better. Obviously “mushy” sounds bad but this helped to explain what “clicky” is and why it’s desirable :)
NGL as someone that has been modding for over 2 decades this is funney AF. We all have to start somewhere and we all start of as trash as this. Good luck bobbie
I'll look forward to hearing some tips from you for gamers interested in modding. Or perhaps you could upload a video of yourself doing a mod like this in a way that isn't trash? I looked but couldn't find any on your channel, but I'd love to learn from a professional.
Thats a sick pro controller shell. I wish nintendo took the Microsoft route an you could customize your controller from them directly. Because I'm afraid to open my controller and ending up breaking a $70 controller lol.
I love the light kit, it gives you clicky buttons for plus and minus, home and capture and I love the look. I put it together with blue and black and the kit I chose came with black instead of transparent buttons.
I think I'm gonna do this mod. I've got the Chanaleon green shell coming in, along with all clear buttons. Later I'll get clear sticks and do tactile to the face buttons and D-Pad. Thank you so much for the inspiration Bob!
Hi, sorry for the late question. Did you ever solder switches on the d-pad? I wanted to try to solder the d-pad, but I wasn't sure on how to solder it. The contact points looks smaller than the face buttons, any help would be great! Thanks!
@HinduDeme617 Hey! I ended up not. The whole mod really excited me, but I realized I'm really fine with how to the OEM Pro Controller's buttons feel. Now, I DID to an ExtremeRate tactile mod to my DualSense controller. I can say it's actually not my favorite in the world. I did the mod because it was a replacement board with an upgrade for a broken controller, but honestly the high clicks makes the controller feel very fragile to me, nothing like a mouse or mechanical keyboard.
@@sporadiceel6246 HI, I actually took the plunge and I modded my dad with switches as well. I actually bought the exact set Bob bought in the video, and I used a smaller button with rubber pads on the back of the buttons. They feel really nice, much better that the bugger buttons Bob used in his controller. The solder was so simple, I just didn't use enough solder the first time
I bought the pink buttons from extremerate, and although my controller looked awesome, the “soft” coating they put on them started wearing off of the ABXY buttons and the buttons started sticking very badly. So I ended up putting the original black buttons back on
So currently I’m in the middle of doing this, and I’m wondering, what did you change to get the Y button to work? The other three work for me, but Y isn’t
Don't do this mod with the extremerate led mod, the daughter board contacts with the switches soldered to them does nothing. I tried again with the original daughter board and it worked perfectly.

I had a balltrasound as well. The instructions for displaying “ball” properly is an interesting one.
Ah yes. I did that incorrectly at first.
@@WULFFDENClips hahaha! I made sure to clarify.
I'm here for more Zeldor but this is equally amazing, always here to support you Bahb and the Wulff boys!
From now on, I'm calling you BaHb the Builder 👷♂️
Is it bahb or bob
Underrated comment

Does he mod? Yes.
Does he mod during working hours? Also yes.
Yeap, professional modder, it checks out.

Pro gamer, modder, speed runner, filmmaker, graphic artist Bob Wulff over here.
More of this soldering content please, I have started learning and love this

I did this mod with just hot glue, and it works great. Didn't even need to solder.

Ayyeee!!! I had my balls ultrasounded once, me and the technician were chatting it up about hiking spots, she was super cool. Lol
Thanks man. This video helped me out a lot. I did it to all my Xbox controller

Next time, try some of that spray paint that feels like a rubberized finish when it dries. You can get it at most auto parts stores.
Love your vidz man👍🏻👍🏻
Tried it it worked! Thanks sound is super nice.
The switches have sold out on Amazon since his video on the main channel came out, I can only imagine the views here are gonna go up like crazy soon
Any idea how to improve the A button? It's not super reactive until pushed hard. (brand new one)
Hannah better get to work on that etsy shop lol
I like the Animal Crossing music.
Have you tried the TrimUI Model S(Powkiddy a66)? That has all clicky buttons and feels great.
I’m doing this tomorrow! What did you do to cover the led when you spray painted the top?
So currently I’m in the middle of doing this, and I’m wondering, what did you change to get the Y button to work? The other three work for me, but Y isn’t
I’d like to mod a Switch Pro controller to function as a GameCube controller.
Where did you get the buttons???

Bro why nobody do this for an xbox one controller i want it😢
It was on my ball lol
I wanna do this on my sf30 pro SO MUTCH
Could this be done on a GC controller?
