im not sure if you are in therapy, but if you had a shit childhood and find yourself struggling, i would really recommend it. there is a lot of new research about cptsd as a result of childhood abuse or neglect, or other complex trauma, and personally for me, it has been life changing to find a therapist who specialises in this. it has helped me rebuild my relationship with myself, but also to other people, and in a way to society as a whole. you can live a better, happier, less lonely life.
@@beep8704 Therapy can def help with this, but the hard part is finding a good therapist that specializes in it that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. If you have free healthcare it's easier, but if you're American you're screwed on the therapy front if you don't have insurance, and it's nearly impossible to even pay for insurance without a job. I had a very good therapist thanks to my insurance, but without it, it would've been $300 a session and I saw him once a week. He helped me a lot with my own c-ptsd, and I got lucky that the first therapist i found ended up being great, but most of the time you kind of have to shop around for it. tl;dr therapy good, american healthcare system bad :( Mental health treatment in general, not just in the US, needs to be better.

I had a very good therapist thanks to my insurance, but without it, it would've been $300 a session and I saw him once a week. He helped me a lot with my own c-ptsd, and I got lucky that the first therapist i found ended up being great, but most of the time you kind of have to shop around for it.
