I learned Blackbird (a fairly-decent version) in 1987, in Bermuda, was there vacationing in Hamilton, watching on TV when Larry Bird famously stole the inbounds-pass from Isiah Thomas, feeding it to a streaking/slashing Dennis Johnson with seconds left in Eastern Conference Game-7 (may have been Game-5, extending the series) against Detroit for the easy lay-up, securing a place for the Celtics in the NBA Finals. (Unfortunately, Larry and the Celts lost to the Lakers in 6-games.) Tough song to nail, it took ne seven days and nights (drove my brother crazy playing it over and over). You sound poised to nail it, nice sounds coming from that guitar.
