Wanted Jakob Johnson to make it too but I need to say that I disagree with Alex on the FB position not being important. That take is outdated to me. Off the top of my head I can think of 3 great running offenses. 49ers, Ravens, Dolphins. Their respective fullbacks are Juszczyk, Ricard and Ingold. All 3 teams have head coaches that are highly regarded as offensive geniuses. Maybe Jakob makes the team after some other moves but the other plan would be Manhertz as a dynamite blocking specialist…not Bellinger.
I see the Isaiah Hodgins cut differently. I think the fact that the cut him shows how much deeper they are at the position. They also like Gunner as return man so there’s no need for Hodgins. He was the WR2 in 2022, now being cut. I think they have a lot of confidence in their WR group.
Seems obvious we clearing space for a couple cb acquisitions. LB Henry from Washington cut he's a pretty good LB pickup I like Desmond king Cb that you mentioned he can Also return kicks and we cut turbo I think we grab him I wonder if Turbos Hamstring maybe was going to linger hence the cut? Otherwise not sure why his talent , speed is what we want and he had some decent production in camp. he eventually will bust a big play if healthy
I really wanted Turbo on the 53 man roster. I am surprised that Bryce Ford-Wheaton made the 53 from my alma mater WVU "Let's GO Mountaineers". He does offer something the Giants don't have and that is size at the WR position. Hodgins and Allen Robinson both had size as well and both had NFL game experience. I guess the liked the athletic upside of Ford-Wheaton over the experience of Hodgins and Robinson. Not sure why Anthony is so high on Devito he sucks doesn't even know where the sticks are when he is playing. I would definatley put in a waiver claim for Caleb Farley even if I were going to trade for a CB2 Farley's athletic upside if he can finally put everything together is too good to pass up the chance to bring him in. Especially because he knows the system. I would also bring in Desmond Ridder off Waivers he is at the very least an upgrade over Tommy Devito but could also be an upgrade over Drew Lock. I think no matter what happens Jones is gone this offseason having a young QB like Ridder makes a ton of sense. If Jones is playing poorly or the Giants are out of the playoff race you can bench Jones to avoid the injury claus from triggering the guarantees in his contract for 2025. Sell the fan base on you want to see what you have in Ridder in live games to avoid any thoughts that your tanking. If Jones plays well and the team makes the playoffs being to far down the board to draft a QB you like. You can still cut Jones and use Ridder as the bridge QB in 2025 so your able to draft a QB in 2026. Ridder has decent arm strength and athletic ability. Someone Daboll would be able to work with who knows he could end up pull a Geno Smith another WVU alum and turning into a competent starter for the team if not you tried to develop a young QB with upside and didn't just cut Jones to save money with no plans for the future. Looks much better for the organization that way.
Nick Gates is better than our starting AND back up center Will Grier>Devito Two good corners, a S, and an edge are available as well Sad about Beavers. Meadowlands turf got him and McKeon right out of the gate
Why does everyone wanna get rid of Jordan Riley ????? Literally everytime he stepped on the field he made plays. Why are ppl just trying to throw him away ?
Any of these cuts interest ya? WR Samson Nacua WR Quez Watkins WR Tim Patrick WR Noah Brown WR Dwayne Eakridge WR Collin Johnson OL Nick Gates CB Desmond King CB Rock Ya Sin CB Caleb Farley CB Kelvin Joseph CB Kyu Blue Kelly CB DJ James LB Curtis Jacobs S Lewis Cine
@danielyi663 hopefully JMS takes that step forward. But regardless even having him as a back up across the lone would be huge. He can play all 5 spots with average line play. That's good depth.
Tommy DeVito is a better player? Did you see the Jets game? No, the OL did him no favors, but he was still awful. And, just like last season, some of the sacks were on him for failing to slide away from the rush and/or throwing the ball away; he has zero pocket awareness. (And FWIW, Gene Clemons said exactly the same thing on Patty Traina's show this week.) Knowing the playbook is no substitute for having talent. Given the injury concerns, I don't fault the Giants for keeping him on the roster, but if they could bring in a more talented QB (and it makes financial sense) and cut DeVito, I'd be happy. Sorry guys, I usually agree with you, but not on this one.
Alex is so pessimistic…. My goodness the season hasn’t even started. Let the youngsters play and learn. The team hasn’t done anything with the players they keep recycling.
@@digitalman9735huge fan, always will be, no matter how you feel about me. The truth is I see things as reality and not blind faith. You try podcasting everyday for 5 years about this team and remain positive lol all I want is to be happy about their performance, believe me.
He can speak for himself but i get it. Few videos ago i think they referred to 2022 season as some sort of magical time. I totally get why he seems so down on this roster.
I'm a die hard Giants fan. I live in Virginia Beach now but I'm from Massachusetts originally. I'm having a hard time swallowing the coaching staff. The choices they make are confusing. Growing up in Massachusetts was hard being a Giants fan but never wavered even when they only played 14 games and couldn't get out of there own way. I think one thing that should have changed in the off season was the head coach.
Omg Divio sucks..why do fans want to continue to settle for mediocre at the QB position?? The story is cool but as fans we gota let Tomny go.. He did shht against home depot players..He's a check down Charlie...come on..lol
Simmons is not going to be impactful for the Giants. He is a phenomenal athlete but a classic “tweener.” He is not a safety, not a corner and not a linebacker. And “tweeners” never emerge as stars.
How "bout DT Chatman as an occasional fullback for a 1- or 2-yard gain?
Nepharious Joksta Toney was cut! we should grab him immediately
Mr. Anthony (The Sneeze)Rivardo
Waiver claims end, not begin, at noon tomorrow. So tomorrow afternoon should be interesting.
I'm kinda pissed they let dante miller go. Hopefully they can keep him on the practice squad
I feel the same way. But it will be shocking if no one claims h/im.
Someone will claim him and he’ll be a superstar!
Jordan Rannan tweeted he is expected to sign with the practice squad ‘per source’. Hopefully it’s true
Love seeing Kubas make the cut
Wanted Jakob Johnson to make it too but I need to say that I disagree with Alex on the FB position not being important. That take is outdated to me. We need a CB! And I'm not crazy about the RB depth so, Turbo better get to the practice squad.
I see the Isaiah Hodgins cut differently. I think the fact that the cut him shows how much deeper they are at the position. They also like Gunner as return man so there’s no need for Hodgins. He was the WR2 in 2022, now being cut. I think they have a lot of confidence in their WR group.
Farley had 2 torn ACL are we trying to make it a 3rd on the met life turf?!?! 🤦
Very surprised they kept Ford-Wheaton and let Miller go.
BFW plays specials.
@CTG...They play 2 different postions. In decision making they have to decide what positions need more depth
Finally I was waiting for y’all 🙏🏾🤣
Ayee, Hodgins and Jakob Johnson are back! Same with Turbo!
Cut Drew Lock and get Tyler Huntley. Dude has high end backup potential.
Hodgins should've been a TE he would do well there.
I’m smelling a vet RB with this cap space too
💯 correct about DeVito..
Seems obvious we clearing space for a couple cb acquisitions.
LB Henry from Washington cut he's a pretty good LB pickup
I like Desmond king
Cb that you mentioned he can Also return kicks and we cut turbo I think we grab him

Tanking for Will Johnson in 2025 draft and Arch Manning in 2026 seems like the plan with the way they’re going about it with the secondary
oh look the chiefs cut toney-how many people still miss him
Not me..that kid was bad news.
Damn calab farley would be nice but I didn’t know he tore his acl twice shesshh
Ford Wheaton has large check for signing as free agent, otherwise gone
I like Tommy too but I’m not confident in his abilities. Not confident in Lock or Jones either. Would be happy with getting another back up.
Ford-Wheaton 👀
Simmons at CB 🤯

I think we have to see this as another building year. So if Hawkins has potential.let him play. Warts and all. By next year he could be great
Letting Hodgins go was a big mistake!
Farley has a heartbreaking backstory plus the vulnerable knees...hmmm I just don't know....
D Bellinger is a very good pass catcher.
How we cut Cloyd? Make it make sense 🤦🏻
Cutting devito would ne the stupidest thing they could do
Jetta is going to SMOKE Banks week 1
Tommy Devito is a CFL talent I would take Jameis and Huntley over Devito any day
lol his name is Darrius Muasau not David you guys trying to give this player a new name
We have enough first and second round busts like Kadarius, Tony and Eli Apple. Why would we take a retreat first round pick cornerback from Tennessee?
Owens made it
Nick Gates is better than our starting AND back up center
Will Grier>Devito
Two good corners, a S, and an edge are available as well
Sad about Beavers. Meadowlands turf got him and McKeon right out of the gate
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

No idea
G.O didn't get cut. Pay attention

Must decide what Simmons position is ,not jack of all trades master of none.
Grown man wearing a Disney shirt WTF.
You care what other people wear?
When grown men wear Disney 😅😅😅
my sister works for Disney dumbass it's a company shirt - Anthony
Woke
Dude..that’s your comment on these guys who work so hard to bring us content???
What do you guys think about the giant's bringing nick gates back? Eagles released him. Do you think he could be a decent guard still for us.
I'd take him back as a center.
@danielyi663 hopefully JMS takes that step forward. But regardless even having him as a back up across the lone would be huge. He can play all 5 spots with average line play. That's good depth.
Justin Jefferson is shorter than banks lol wdym a foot on height?😭 33:05
He’s not shorter but more so his wing span is much larger
Not David Masua..
Darius Muasau
Caleb Farley!!

Hodges run block 😂😂 stop looking for a reason
Alex is so pessimistic…. My goodness the season hasn’t even started. Let the youngsters play and learn. The team hasn’t done anything with the players they keep recycling.
I've been so done with Alex for a long time he's not a giants fan anymore.
I’m pessimistic in certain areas because they’re not good, all I want for them is to be good lol

@@mocheex8275they haven’t given us much reason for hope but I’m eternally hopeful despite knowing this team still has a lot of holes
Doesent look like Theres much to cheer About.
I can't believe the browns cut jamis Winston
Bring back Nick Gates!!!!!
