    Deli you could’ve put the crib in the study area and had the desk next to the kitchen 😂

    • @ILuvAyeAye
      @ILuvAyeAye ปีที่แล้ว +37

      I'm curious if the changing table could have fit next to the kitchen. I grew up in a city full of very cramped apartments, putting your child's crib there would be a little odd, but I could 100% see a family putting a dresser for extra storage there, and then using the top of the dresser as a changing table.

      that's what I would have done. lol. I was laughing about how it's supposed to be an "infant tiny home" but the infant is just shoved back in the corner lol.

      Easy enough to swap out, though. The fact that it all fits is still impressive. I’ve never been able to have a micro home with a toddler because of the 2 extra tiles that a potty and tub add (didn’t know about the sink thing). I usually only have one shared sink for the kitchen and bath, too.

  • @andreaparham79
    @andreaparham79 ปีที่แล้ว +63

    I would have used the Murphy bed for the parent and make that a bedroom/lounge room so the baby could have the office space… and then put the computer in that little nook where you put the crib. Oh yes… I got renovation plans! Downloading!!!!!!! Thanks Deli!!!!!

    omg the aprons on the tree.... My heart. 🥰🥰🥰
    (Funny story, as a 22 year old, my roommates and I moved into a home with an adorable animal scene painted in the nursery. It was looking really dingy, and the landlord had said we could paint, so I was going to paint over it, but the landlord got sad - she'd thought we had a kid and it wouldn't need to go away. So that's how I ended up living with an adorable tree, and lion, and lemur, and frog as an adult. 😂)

    The floating bottle thing is a move objects glitch. This is why I always turn move objects off during gameplay. It's also how plates end up in walls.

    • @ILuvAyeAye
      @ILuvAyeAye ปีที่แล้ว +28

      Or even more dangerous, EGGS. My Sims kept insisting their home smelled bad, but I had already moved the fridge, moved all the counters, and couldn't see any plates floating. In an overdramatic moment, I sledgehammered their walls... Only to find two spoiled eggs floating inside. 🤣
      The family had a chicken coop, I had been moving the eggs into their fridge to keep them from spoiling, but the egg perfectly fit inside the wall, they were impossible to see until the wall was bulldozed.

    • @dbseamz
      @dbseamz ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@ILuvAyeAye I have heard stories of vengeful exes hiding food that will spoil and stink somewhere inside their ex's house (or even more deviously, in a piece of furniture so the smell follows them if they move--the example I remember is shrimp inside a hollow curtain rod). I guess the in-game lore could be that someone did that to your Sim family.

    • @awfurfracksake
      @awfurfracksake ปีที่แล้ว +4

      yeah it's so annoying. like when i drag a plate to a bin after forgetting to turn off move objects and my sims whine about unpleasant surroundings and i can't find what's causing it, only to realise a million years later than it's a floating plate that didn't make it to the bin

    I think infants are the only time that Murphy bed with no sofa makes sense. If you don't want to teach your infant how to crawl outside during a thunderstorm, you really need a lot of empty floor space.

    Important infant PSA: you can “clean up” infants by clicking on either the kitchen or bathroom sink. It’s the length of the old diaper change and fills their hygiene bar after 3X. I was also able to do it when picking them up from the high chair.
    Edit: OOP. You say this around the 7:00 mark. Adorable build!

      And if you want to get the bath time milestone (or see the cute animation), you can always put a wood bathtub in the backyard. 😆If you've got a toddler who hates bath time, I could totally see an inventive mom adding some baby soap to the kiddie pool.

    Such a clever use of space! I love this! In my experience the change table isn’t necessary to change an infant. Unless you want the gameplay, I’d leave them out of tiny homes. That’s my take anyway.

    The crib looks like it is in a closet space :) looks good.
    Reminds me of my first room as an infant. It was in the nice entrancehall (we never used it, we always walked in through the garage) because it was the closet room to my parents bedroom that wasn't the living room

    • @dbseamz
      @dbseamz ปีที่แล้ว

      Some relatives of mine converted a little alcove in between the master bath and the master bedroom's walk-in closet into a "room" for their youngest. It's a strange little spot--clearly not part of the bathroom or the closet, but you have to go through the bathroom to reach it. (It's one of those bathrooms that has the toilet and shower sectioned off into mini-rooms, so unless someone was using the fancy tub there'd be no risk of walking in on anyone.)

  • @mellchiril
    @mellchiril ปีที่แล้ว +4

    hhhm I might try playing in this house o.o although I'm not entirely sure if the infant's room will stay hidden behind half a wall, or if I'll change some stuff around.
    Either way it's an adorable tiny house. I wonder how it'll work once the infant ages up

    Keeping babies by the stove obviously seems awful now, but it was very commonly done in medieval times, for newborns and infants still in swaddling, as a way of keeping very young babies warm without modern day temperature regulation, and of the options at the time was definitely safer than co-sleeping as toddlers and older infants did, so while it might not be wise to put a crib by the stove, there's precedent for sticking a newborn bassinet there!

  • @shannonhernandez28
    @shannonhernandez28 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    2 tile bathroom next to the fridge with no sink since kitchen sink is right there and that would have given enough space for a living room with the fold down bed and the "bedroom" could have been for the baby

  • @nodoubtmisa
    @nodoubtmisa ปีที่แล้ว

    You dont actually need the changeing table, if you dont have room for it or dont want to use it (or you know, if you dont have the pack) they just change the infants the same way they did with toddlers before they added the changeing tables. :) I actually removed the table in my 100 baby house, because its faster to do without xD Will add it in other saves tho because its nice to have.

I've gotten into the habit of pausing Sims build videos when they select an item I like and looking closely at the logo to see whether or not it's from a pack I have. Some logos like Cats and Dogs, Vampires, and Get to Work are pretty obvious, but it was a little tricky to tell apart Eco Lifestyle and Cottage Living (at least in CAS, where they're more likely to have similar items) until I looked at the pack in the app and saw that Cottage Living is a chicken's face.
